André Cymone first album question (if you have it, I have 2 versions and I'm confused)

Hi smile

.

I have 2 digital versions of Livin' In The New Wave. Not sure if any other differences but on one the track So Fine has the intro with the weird synth sounds, and the other does not have this intro. I'm a bit confused. I saw on YT what appears to be a vinyl rip and it has the intro, and tracklists on Discogs suggest an length that means the intro is there. But I'm still wondering if there are 2 versions of the record or if one of those I have is some fanmade edit.

.

Could you tell me what you got whether you have it digital, CD or LP smile

.

Thx hug

I have it on CD. The Remastered version from 2012. So Fine has the intro you mention on my CD.

Is it possible that the version you have without the intro is some kind of radio edit?

I thought of that, too, but checked on Discogs and it was neither a single nor a b-side, hence my confusion.

Let's see if other poeple have other versions...

I own these editions:

https://www.discogs.com/André-Cymone-Livin-In-The-New-Wave/release/8051901

Both have the synth intro before "So Fine".

OK, I've listened closely to the shgort version and it has to be a fan edit, because the sound from the intro is still fading out on the first notes of the beat.

Probably another fan who liked it better that way and thought intelligent to share his own edit with the world rolleyes ...and another proof of the plague those fan edits are!

Thanks for your efforts helping me, though hug

Andre(whom i last saw besides being at every show of his LA residency when he did a duet of S.I.S.I.A. with Jill Jones at a Prince tribute) has a LOT of charisma on stage and looks over 20 years his junior.

"That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when eye was doing the Purple Rain tour eye had a lot of people who eye knew eye'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream."prince
