Not sure if I´m going to buy this one after all that went down between her and Steve Parke lately but I must admit that this book kind of got me curious because she once said that she wasn´t that much into his music so that makes me wonder how exactly she managed to fill a whole book if she won´t get into the music and particular songs or the way they were made.

If she goes into any details about his hair and health it will come across as too unprofessional, if she talks about his music and the process behind it will probably pale in comparison to the other books, so what exactly will this book bring to the table that we haven´t heard of before?

I would love to read an excerpt before I order it.

And who knows, maybe it is indeed an interesting book but I have my doubts.

Well, since you are posting that comment in this thread, we are left to assume that you are referencing this book and specific author. To that, I would say if we want to look at this book through the lens of profit, I would ask if you felt the same towards this person while P was alive. Afterall, she did work for him. In other words, she spent 25 years "using him as a way to profit." I do not subscribe to that. I will buy this book.

I'm interested in what she has to say. I wonder how her health is since the scare with her heart recently. She seems to be doing okay now.

I wouldn't exactly say that "she was using him as a way to profit" while working for him, because he hired her to do a job for him, therefore he was paying for services rendered. I just feel like now, those that were family or associates, now just use his death and dying as a way to profit, and that irks me somewhat, because I know that many that are speaking out on him now, would have never done it while he was alive, because he would have sued the crap out of them, but I hate that everything about him now is about money, and using him to get it. But by all means, buy the book if that's your preference, just like it's mine to not buy it if I choose to.

"The Husband and Father" was she married to him? Well, at least her book cover looks better than the one for Morris Day's tho. But it's a no from me.

I've never even heard of her. I was just confused as to why a hair stylist would release her memoirs. And more confused as to why anyone would be be interested in reading it.

But that´s the very reason why I´m interested in it in the first place.....she´s not a musician, nor an ex-wife or girlfriend or manager, and I really wonder what she has to tell that hasn´t been told before.And she claims that her book is about Prince the person, the human being, and not Prince the rockstar.

But after watching that podcast with Michael Dean I´m not so sure whether I´m still interested.That podcast was almost an hour long and contained zero info or entertainment value to me.
