Yes, there were comments about that on another thread. Wondering if he did get the historical information. I think by the time he decided to write his memoir he was ready to tell his story. If you believe Tyka's comments about him telling her, 2 years prior to his death, that he had done all he had come here to do - then his wanting to finally open up and publish facts and feelings about his life would make sense. * For me, I would just love to read the original pages - no additional "fluff" necessary. Just leave them as they were when he submitted them to the publisher.

- She, for one STAYED for a so many yeeeeeaaaaaaars !!!!! She wasn't sacked, replaced, kicked out (beause of something done), never went to the press... etc. We basically never heard (of) her (in the past decades she worked for him). (...although I saw she was able to take a picture now and then, which actually only started to see the light of day (she posted some) recently.) - She must be good and trustworthy, being able to stay that looooooong, in an ever people changing Prince camp! Think about that. (were his clothing designers thàt long in his camp ? the make-up artists ?) So she sure was less disposible then most collaborating quallity musicians. (I can imagine it was easier to find another hairdresser than any other musician who can cope with Prince's fast and demanding life style...) She must be worth something ! For sure. - I'm going to read it ! And I'm not going to expect any of it (so it will be better than expected... ) And... I hope, I really do hope, there's a lot of fat juicy gossip to discover ! ...true or not, facts or dumb shit It surely keeps us talking about 'the man' and his entourage (and his music hopefully). - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

No way does she have enough material for three books. Unless the books are large type and only less than 200 pages each. Paisley Park is in your heart

Wait....what year was that done??? Or are you continuing the "funny trail" of responses * She's stated in interviews that she did whatever she was told to do with his hair style ideas. She said she hated the whole "sprouted fountain" look with the colored ribbons, but I have no doubt she didn't dare argue with him about it.

Aparently that particular hair style came about because she had to fix a mistake after Prince tried to cut his own hair.. Dont remember where I read that...

Perhaps those of us who are receiving and reading the book can add some thoughts on it here.

Actually, Earl Jones - his first stylist and Jill Jone's Uncle - through most of the 80's and on the 1990 Nude Tour. I think he left only because of his age and ill health. Roy Bennett, his lighting technician, was with him from 1981 through 1993. Many of his "behind the scenes" people stayed for a long time. The Engineers had long tenures too, and the main reason they left was because of the 24/7 hours required. * I sort of disagree with your idea that it was easier to find another hairdresser than another musician. Being as particular as he was, I'm sure he didn't want to lose someone who knew how he wanted his hair done. The fact that he kept her there for many years does not translate into him trusting her enough to tell her his deep or dark secrets. It just means that she showed up and did her job the way he wanted her to do it. * He changed band members when he wanted to go a different direction musically. He also worked with many of those prior band members again off and on through the years.
