You are making the assumption that he confided in Kim B, Shelby and/or Rosie Gaines about his very personal feelings. I really do not think he did that. I do agree that Prince was a master manipulator when it came to his women/muses - and the fact that they were typically much younger only added to his ability to control them. However, I don't see him sitting around talking to his platonic band mates or hairdresser about his plans for the women and/or his feelings about them.
*
Someone like Ruth Arzate, who was his personal assistant for many years in the 2000's would be a great resource to find out how much he really shared about his personal life. From the few that she has told so far, it does not seem that he revealed too much.
How would any of us know? Also it seems people’s biases come into play in terms of who they believe and who the don’t. The problem with Kim is she can’t seem to get her timelines straight. One minute she joined during the D&P era, the next she was around during Lovesexy/GB.
Kim has admitted more than once that she wasn't a fan of Prince's(r.i.p.) music. So it's quite possible that she could get the time periods mixed up with his music & when she started doing his hair. Since she could care less if it was the Lovesexy period or Diamonds & Pearls period. Unlike me who can name each album time period in my sleep. Non fans could care less. To me it's really no big deal. It's still well over 20 years. She was fresh out of High School when she started working for him. Plus she was already part of the crew before that by dating Prince's(r.i.p.) bodyguard. Also she was the LONGEST hairdresser he had. Which qualifies her to know A LOT. Men & woman of a certain ethnicity share a lot with their hairdressers it's a culture thing. All of U are just trying to sabotage her book. But it's not going to happem. It'll be a TOP seller. Especially when Ellen,Oprah & Jimmy Fallon interview her. Stop saying "she COULD care less" when you really mean the opposite of that. Also, I can absolutely guarantee that she will not be on The Tonight Show promoting this book. |

I´m still undecided whether I find "I could care less" or " I should of bought some milk." more irritating. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?" |

The term is commonly used for both men and women these days. Not that "lesbian" is never used, but I guess it's just an easier word to describe homosexuality whether male or female.
*
Lisa discussing her sexuality and being a member of the Revolution for Out Magazine in 2009:
*
Lisa: "With Prince and the Revolution, I think that it was just taken for granted that we were supposed to be the gay reps in the band. [Laughs] The blacks, the whites, the gays. And people would say, Gee, do you think this lesbian thing is going to work for them? [Everyone laughs] So, after the band kind of split up, the record labels would be like, You need to be wearing fur coats and sitting on motorcycles and long fingernails . . ."
[Edited 3/28/19 13:56pm]
According to Lisa, Prince was "like a fancy lesbian."
Gay people think everyone is secretly gay. What Lisa meant by that comment is that he was a very feminine man who loved women. She was not saying he was secretly gay. That would be impossible. |

What an absolutely ridiculous attempt at justifying why she's contradicted herself numerous times on her start date with Prince. I remember my start date working for an insurance company 27 yrs ago, so I think it's fair to say she should remember the year she started working for one of the biggest musicians in the world.... |

Here you go - the snippet of Wendy and Lisa talking about Prince's sexuality with Out magazine....
*
Did you first think Prince was gay? Lisa: He was little and kinda prissy and everything. But hes so not gay. Wendy: Hes a girl, for sure, but hes not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. Hes like a fancy lesbian. Wendy: I remember being at that Sexuality video shoot and him on stage with that little black jacket and that tie thing around his neck and his black pants with white buttons on the side. And we looked at each other for the first time and I thought, Oh, I could so fall in love with that girl easy. It doesnt matter what sexuality, gender you are. Youre in the room with him and he gives you that look and youre like, Okay, Im done. Its over. Hes Casanova. Hes Valentino.

I love these ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Uhhhh...no. Lesbians are attracted to women - as was Prince. For a man, being sexually attracted to women is the opposite of gay.
Lisa was talking more about outward appearance.

[Edited 3/29/19 10:27am] . Technical difficulties [Edited 3/29/19 10:29am] Yes, she said he looked st her like a lesbian would look at a woman she finds attractive. I’m also not a lesbian, but my interpretation was that he was a man with a strong feminine side who was completely heterosexual. Very on target, I think. |
