I mean, he's hanging at the pool with them, so I'd say they were close at some point. They were all so young and beautiful back then. Hell, Susannah is still a looker, and Paul ain't doin' so bad either, jogging and running all the time.

I'm not sure when Doug took the pics of the girls to use as models for the cover, but I could think it was late 1984 at some point that he started hanging out more. It's nice that they're still in touch. I imagine with Prince's passing, many former colleges and peers have reconnected for various purposes.

It was hilarious. She was doing a slide show and telling stories It was so honest and funny. She was barefoot. Yes she jokingly made it seem Like the mustache was at the request of the other resident girlfriend or prince being petty. She said something to the effect, “now how come I end up with A mustache?” It was just funny that the artist and SM seem to be friends so it Made me think hummmm about her story. They look like they are having fun in the pic posted!^^

That's a cute story, but I doubt the artist was going to do anything that he or Prince didn't want done for the album art. Susannah would have just met Doug as well, so I doubt that they were close friends at that time.

they were not 'buds' at the time of the photo shoot. Prince had about 3-5 photographers in that 1983-1985 period taking photos too. I know he just recently reached out to her about some questions about the ATWIAD album. So I believe he will be sharing more photos which is always a good thing. I could use a book on all the stuff he has too.

Same with Wendy and Lisa. I completely get why he enjoyed their company. I think it fed his "female" energy, and added to his musical life too. When she told the story of their time in St Vincent Du Paul I could really picture how great it was to be hanging out there and blasting the Grace Jones and Kate Bush records all night long. How incredibly awesome!!
