Some of it was I think. He actually hired a famous photographer -something Horst?? I think, who was very old at the time, to take the pictures. On one of their recent FB streaming videos St Paul and Susannah told the story of when they were posing for the shot on the stairs Prince took the camera from the photographer and started taking pictures Not sure which ones ended up to be his, if any, on the album though.

That would make sense. I'm thinking only the black and white pics may have been taken by the photographer.

No the colored photos were taken by Prince, the black n white photos by famous photographer Horst (Horst Paul Albert Bohrmann)

I think she is wearing the diamond ring during The Family's only live show at 1st Avenue August 13th, 1985. Check out the video on YT. She has a big sparkly rock on the left finger. I think the ring in this pic is just fashion jewelry.

Here's clip of The Family performing NC2U at 1st Avenue. It's dark, but at about 3:20-22 you can see the sparkly rock on her finger, and a close-up of it at about 6:29....

What a great performance of this song!!! Paul's vocals were fantastic and Eric was killing it on Sax. Paul said Prince was watching at the side of the stage, and gave him a big hug after the show. SUCH a bummer that they didn't have more shows back then.

Yep! You can see it pretty well when the camera was closer to Susannah.
