Sexy MF chorus: Sonny T or Levi?

I’ve always read conflicting information about who actually SINGS “You sexy motherfuckerrrr” on this track. Does anyone have information on this that’s more definitive than an opinion? (Opinions are welcome, too...I’m just looking for something verifiable.)

I've always seen Levi credited for writing & singing the chorus.

Indeed!

Sonny has a rawness to his voice, almost a blaring quality (for lack of a better word, and it's not meant as a criticism). Levi has a smoother edge to this vocals a lot of the times. I never thought about who sang that line back in the day until someone pointed out that it wasn't Prince.
