Those who tell something, have something to say now. There is no PRINCE anymore who's dictatorship was hanging over them to say/tell something. Everyone is now (sort of) free to speak. - I'm also waiting for BOBBY Z to write a book, let alone Lisa or Wendy... ...or Susannah herself ! -
Agreed. Would be great to see something from Bobby. They remained close throughout his life. Also agree that when Prince was here these people were not "free" to tell these kinds of stories , or give the detail that Susannah has given. * Would love to see a book from Wendy and Lisa too.

I agree. Bobby was there the last few years and they still seemed very close. I would love a book from Wendy,Lisa and Susannah as well and for them to share what they recall about the writing and recording of the music they were a part of,stories about the tours and a few personal ones as well such as Susannah has shared. I really enjoyed reading the stories she has posted on Facebook, starting with the one about the inspiration for Starfish & Coffee that she shared before Prince passed. I thought that was beautifully written.

Yes it was, and also very telling that he did not have it taken down. As she said, he usually wanted everything pulled. I'm glad he loved her essay.

Yes. I'm sure that he loved it. It was respectful and shed light on the sweet, tender side of his personality. I thought the one she wrote after his passing about the car accident they were in did as well.

Yes! I was thinking about that one as well. Very sweet stories.

Yes,I would appreciate more like that! She writes with such clarity and detail,I felt lke I was there with them.

- I never heard that one. Where can i find it ? I don't have facebook anymore (after ten years). It's boring as fuck, and you don't learn anything from it except what people eat and where they go on holidays, catsdogs and horible happy children. (People should have less opinions too, but what am I saying here ) And then again I'm missing out on stories like that... Well what the... Would be great to hear that 'accicdent story though. thank you. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. And wiser people so full of doubts" (Bertrand Russell 1872-1972)

She posted it on her Facebook in honor of his birthday in 2016. It's still there and can be found easily by searching posts under "Prince."

It wasn't too long of a post. Very sweet story, and funny too, because Eric Leeds made a funny comment relating to the story and his Brother Alan Leeds

Vannormal - Susannah's post on FB, June 7th, 2016: * "Prince’s Birthday June,7th A Summer Sunday in June of 1985 7:30 am... Prince and I were in a Car Accident. Starts out very dramatic but in actuality that accident transposed itself into a moment when I knew just how easily softened and sensitive Prince’s heart was when laid bare and unsheltered. * Eric Leed's comment was funny. He said, "sweet story, but I'm sure Alan got a call after..."Alan, can you....". No doubt Alan was a VERY busy man during those years!!

Thank you for posting her story. Interesting that he said God had connected them forever,I suppose he thought because of the accident. I had missed Eric's comment.

You're welcome Pink! Yes, seems he looked at certain events or happenings as signs from God. The story of when he was rehearsing for PR tour speaks to that too - he climbed up to the bathtub which was way up high and tipped and fell with him in it because it wasn't secured down. He had some bruises but nothing broken which is amazing. His camp said he was so freaked out by it that he had to leave rehearsal - he looked at it as some type of sign.

Yes,I remember Susan Rogers saying in an interview that as they were recording one time, the lights went off or were going on and off and he took it as a sign they were to stop or that someone didn't want the song recorded. I had read about the incident with the bathtub and I could see how he would see that as a sign and how he would be shaken up by it.

Yes, I think with the bathtub incident he had been railing on the tech crew - really nasty if they didn't get something righ or the exact way he wanted it (nerves I'm sure), and after that incident he was extra nice for awhile. He may have thought it was God telling him he better stop being so mean

Oh I hadn't heard about that. Yes,I'm sure it did get his attention and he may have taken it as a warning.

IT WAS HIS BIRTHDAY, YA [Snip - luv4u] !!!!! * Do you understand the definition of "justifiable"????? It was REASONABLE for him to be up a 6:00 am on his birthday - ya know, his special day?? This would NOT have been a normal schedule for him, as he was usually up recording all night and then slept through the morning hours. * Lawd, it's becoming increasingly obvious why you really only connect with Devin D's statements

Oh, okay
* It would seem, based on your initial comment, which was just ridiculous and "unjustified" (see what I did there??!) that you would actually be taking this thread, Susannah's time with Prince, and her statemetns WAY WAY too personally, or they are just a bit above your level of comprehension

I just saw that Susannah posted a clip on her FB of her singing "Erotic City" onstage with The Revolution last night. She sounded great and I thought it was cool to see. She also did a brief Live from backstage before the show and Wendy,Lisa and Bobby were there. Wendy said that he was wearing the original tie he wore for the Parade tour and Susannah zoomed in on it and talked about how great it looked. Pretty cool.

Yes! I saw the stage clip, but missed the backstage footage. I'll have to look for that. They all sounded great. Love that they kept certain things from their time with the band.
