There are convos between the two. They are in the divorce documents, that have been discussed many times here on the org.

He took pleasure in tearing that house down, and even went so far as to ask her how it made her feel.

Well it was his house not hers. The location is a 7-10 minute drive from PP, if that. I'm guessing they were in the process of divorce proceedings, who knows what the judge would have awarded her. I know I wouldn't want to constantly have to run into my ex and their new family on a regular basis, living and/or vacationing in my old house. Plus, she is somewhat business literate, and that is still a Prince tourist site even with somebody else's house there, just to drive by, see the fence and peek at the lake, it would have been a massive tourist spot if the house was still there now. I'd say in this case that was a very reasonable move.
