Pre-order Kim Berry’s book http://diamondsncurlz.com...kJ4SmCv0H4 She says the book will be available in April during the “Celebration of Prince 2k19” in Minneapolis. I’m not sure what that is. As far as I know Celebration 2019 hasn’t been announced yet. Here’s part of her bio from this site. Kim Berry is an elite hair stylist based in Los Angeles. After her formal education at Pacific Beauty College, the universe aligned her life to cross paths with Prince, starting a whirlwind education of over 28 years at the “University of Prince Rogers Nelson”. For nearly three decades Kim has been with Prince through almost every one of his ups and downs, good and bad times of his career and life. Kim has seen Prince at his most vulnerable times that very few have ever witnessed. She has shared rare memorable moments with him as a husband, father, artist and fellow human being. Prince trusted her enough to confide in her over the years. They laughed, cried and even argued together. Over his career many have come and gone but Kim was able to roll with rock royalty Prince longer than mostly everyone. Kim started out as Prince’s hairstylist but end up as one of his few closest friends. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to get this book. I’m glad a portion of the sales will go to charity...but...glaring errors on the cover (she wasn’t with Prince for 29 years) make me wonder what the quality of the book will be like. Did she have a good editor or did she mostly do this on her own? Who’s publishing the book? Also ever since she sold some of P’s stuff at auction I’ve felt differently about her. I doubt P let her take stuff so she could sell it. Anyone here going to order this book? Paisley Park is in your heart

Thanks for sharing. I'm iffy about buying the book for the same reasons but I'm interested in seeing what she had to say. I'd rather wait until there are some reviews.

Yeah hopefully we’ll get some decent reviews. I hope not too much of it is stuff she’s already talked about in interviews. Paisley Park is in your heart

I do too. I remember when Andrea Swennson asked her a specific question in her interview for The Current, she said that she was saving that one for the book so hopefully there are a few stories she hasn't shared in her talks and interviews.

Personally I am not at all interested in her book. She is a hairdresser, not a musical collaborator.

True but I enjoy hearing stories from those who were close to him whatever their role in his life. She said that the book will not be about the "rock star" but about who he was behind the scenes as a "husband, father, artist and fellow human being." according to the description on the page.

Thank you for telling us about this book finally being published (?) Just one thought though, now understand me, I want as much information about Prince as I can have, but isn’t this what she said the book wouldn’t be about?

I believe that Kim has always said it would be about Prince as she knew him to be when he was away from the spotlight. She said that the book wouldn't focus on the rock star but be more about "the man." From the description on the site,I get the feeling there will be stories from when he was married to Mayte and that she may touch on the loss of their baby.
