I hear some Prince joints....... FOOLS multiply when WISE Men & Women are silent.

Some of the songs are very reminiscent of his sound.

'you can't blame me' is a swingin' joint and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Funky album, I hear a lot of Prince in it, as well as other artists like Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, a bit of Hendrix on the Fire track. Queen of the Hill reminds me of Laydown.

Thanks Latin! You are very welcome. It is actually "I Can Only Love You By Fire" with a snippet of "Queen of the Hill". She is an awesome performer.

Yes,I loved how she put the snippet of "Queen of the Hill" in at the end. She really is! [Edited 11/17/18 20:33pm]

One would assume that Judith would have publicized any Prince input: his presence on the album would certainly boost reviewers' interests and sales/streams. So unless she or anyone involved reveals any Prince input, it's quite safe to assume he ain't involved at all. True. His influence is strong though on "The Pepper Club" and "Queen of the Hill" Also as someone mentioned, her use of strings. I'm really impressed with the production as well. I wonder who else was involved and still would love to know who the other musicians are.

I think that she probably learned a lot about being an independent artist from him.

Yes, her parents are extremely talented. She said in an interview back in the summer that they were session musicians I believe.

Stole what?? Do we say that about the countless others that work with prince and have zero talent? Judith started this record after his death, she has already specified the timeline of the record. Judith has been surrounded by musicians of this caliber her whole life, she was working with Michael and Stevie Wonder long before Prince knew of her, so did she steal from them? Not to mention that her parents are musicians. She grew up in a musical household like Sheila E. did. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato
