I think that she may be bisexual and is becoming more comfortable displaying that but may not feel the need to make an announcement. Looking at some of her old tweets,she supported gay marriage as far back as 2009 when she was with David Ott so LGBTQ rights have always been an important issue to her. She of course became more obvious about it in 2015 with her choice to have the couple in the video for "Don't Ever Say" be two women when at the time,she was in what appeared to be a serious relationship with her then boyfriend. I saw another guy friend ask when they were going to get married already so who knows? From the pics and clips taken on the set of the new video,it looks like it may possibly feature real couples and celebrate their love. Andy was sitting on a stool singing like the unreleased video for "Man In Black." The makeup artist for the video said that the shoot was twelve hours long so seems it was an elaborate project. I'm happy that she may be releasing "Angels" since she's sung it during her Stage It and her last show at Hotel Café. She's been posting a lot of outtakes lately. I really enjoyed her online concert she mentioned in the post. It would have been nice if she could have shared a clip or two on Facebook like last time. It was. They did a really nice version of "Officially Missing You" by Tamia as well and they began the show with "RocknRoll Love Affair/People Pleaser"

If she shares the recording I'm sure that someone will make a thread about it, if not me.I think it would have been better not to have said anything though and to have surprised everyone with it as she did with "U Will B" I think she may have just wanted to let everyone know that she has it. She shared in an Instastory Sunday night that she was going through her old CDS so she may have found it then. I just wonder how she could have stashed it somewhere and forgotten about it. It seems something like that would be more treasured and kept in a safe place.

Yeah how do you lose or misplace something that valuable? She was also rather vague not saying what format the recording is in. One of her FB followers told her that they hoped she made another copy to ensure that it won't be erased. Her brother shared an unreleased song and a pro shot concert on her laptop last year but I can't imagine that she had the recording of "Breakdown" on there and just discovered it so I assume that it's a physical copy that she found. I see from the comments that she has some of the fans very excited about the possibility of sharing it.

Yep. His fans would of course love to hear it and would treasure it. I know I've been watching my notifications. I think it was a bit insensitive of her to just drop something like that and leave everyone hanging,especially with the tongue out emoji she posted. Hopefully she will surprise everyone and share it soon. I wonder about the quality of the recording though with her saying that it's "rough." She has been very quiet on social media lately and that was her first post on FB in weeks.She's been busy I guess.

She said in an interview in 2013 that she had recently found some recordings of some demos that they did together and talked like she had forgotten about them too. She did move earlier in the year so it's possible she found the "Breakdown" recording in some boxes or something. In her Instastory she also showed a Word Doc with some writing on it and a cassette tape asking if anyone remembered them. That said,I still think it would have been better not to post about it until she was ready to share it rather than get people's hopes up. It's been nearly two days since she posted and she hasn't replied to any of the messages and I wonder if she is reading them. I'm hoping she is planning a surprise but we'll see.

I have lost interest in Andy and her music...there are so many fantastic singers ,even locally.Her fame is her connection to Prince and she needs to keep that connection alive.I have noticed her fan numbers on Facebook havent really moved up since last year

I've noticed the same though her IG followers have increased. She hasn't released new music since April of last year and unfortunately stopped Music Monday again that her loyal followers were enjoying and looking forward to. She was doing them even on set and on the road so not sure what happened there. I am interested in hearing the new music that she's been working on, though I like the acoustic sound of "One Step Closer" and was hoping she would officially release "Dandelion" and "Time Heals All Wounds" since she left them off of the EP. I did love what I've heard of her new song "Angels" and thought it sounded like a cross between two of my faves "Time" and "Someday Is Tonight" by Janet Jackson from the clips. I honestly am beginning to wonder about her with some of her recent behavior online. She posted on twitter a few months back, "I think social media makes me feel inadequate." and "I am a complicated human" Seems like she's dealing with something. Her last post on FB doesn't make her look too good and I think she should at least reply to some of the comments. It's not really like her not to do that.

I, for one, am a big fan of Andy's. From her music to her other projects, I love her. However, I feel the same way. Andy is changing. I can't put my finger on it but she's starting to become different. Different than how we've known her to be, anyways.

Yes. I still love her music and her voice but something is different about her. Maybe she's just maturing and changing with age-she is nearly 30 but she seems drastically different than she did even last year. She may be dealing with some personal issues at the moment and wants to take a break from social media for a bit I don't know. She hasn't been as open with her day to day life or projects lately where before she was sharing updates almost daily. She didn't even post about filming the new video and I found out about it through Lena Waithe's IG. She's not as connected with her supporters and that is one way she has changed. The way she abruptly dropped MM was also strange because at the start of her last show on September 17th,she said that she wanted to make MM special and more like an event and had a set fixed up and everything with lights and a candle lit in front of her. The next week she skipped,saying that she'd make it up by doing extra songs next time but said in her chat the following Monday that she was taking a break for a while to try to figure out the best schedule for Music Monday.

I think the songs "Back To One" and "Ships" that she shared during 2016 sounded promising but it seems she has put them away for now. She's been vague about the new music and hasn't said whether it's for a new EP or album,just that it has a smooth r&b feel. The song "Something About That Beat" was more electronic dance and didn't really fit her voice imho.What she said about the new band was also pretty vague,just that were beginning rehearsals but didn't say what it was for.I feel in her latest FB post she toyed with the emotions of the Prince fans who follow her. Until now I don't think she has done anything to tease us like that and I would rather that she hadn't. Most of her followers seem to be dedicated fans of his and I think she should be more sensitive. I know her world doesn't revolve around Prince and she has a lot of things going on but she had to know what posting that would do and how the fans would react. I might have felt she wasn't posting in a teasing fashion if she had posted only the purple heart and not the emoji with it's tongue out before it.

Agreed. I think she's changed a lot the last few years. I think she's still figuring out who she is in the world, and her identity, or rather identities. I do think she's dating again, and I believe she's with a woman now (judging by her posts, likes, and a pic I saw of her on one of her friend's pages-loveleigh). Whatever the case is, I wish her the best, and I hope she feels comfortable with who she is. I'm sure it's also a delicate process because she doesn't want to lose the Prince fans/supporters by outright coming out/taking a different direction. It also seems like she's entering a new phase where her primary focus is on acting as opposed to music right now. I do wish she'd be more open, and communicative with fans as she once was.

Yes she seemed to be confused for a while about some things that occurred in her life. She also seemed to be acting out a bit by cutting her hair and bleaching it,dressing more boyish etc. The change appeared to begin in the summer of 2016. She seemed to be very happy with her then boyfriend at the time but something happened unexpectedly I assume by her tweets last year before V Day. She seemed to be done with men after that. I saw the pic you are referring to and I also noticed that she was with a woman. I think I have seen her with her before and in Andy's IG story at the watch party for Black Lightning. Coming out would be a delicate situation I agree. I'm not sure what's going on with her love life tbh. She was pretty much an open book with the last guy and it was very apparent they were dating looking at her IG in 2015 and he still had photos of her and them together on his. I think they looked sweet together and very happy and Andy seemed really involved so her heart was likely broken unfortunately. I wish her the best also and hope she finds happiness in her personal and professional life. It would be nice if she would share again with her fans. She said after her post about social media that she was looking at ways to use it more effectively.

I didn't really notice any evidence of her being bisexual until after she broke up with her boyfriend.She was dressing overtly sexy and feminine in 2015 with the tight dresses and minis and big blonde hair and posting hints about him all over her IG. There are a lot of female Prince fans who seem fascinated with Andy due to her connection and relationship with Prince that's true and I wonder if that was one of the reasons for not going public with her last boyfriend. I think with the revelation of the "Breakdown" recording some will of course associate it with she and Prince's relationship. She never seemed to give indication that she was attracted to women before,at least not publicly and she really appeared to be in love with her last boyfriend and seemed really proud of it. With same sex couples featured in the new video it's obvious that LGBTQ rights are extremely important to her and she seems to identify more with that now days. Her role on BL is also indicative of that. I wonder if she will have a female love interest in the new video as with "10,000 Days" In the clip I saw there was a female dancer behind her and at her feet. Andy is being so quiet right now on social media with the exception of the post about "Breakdown" and I see that she still hasn't replied to over 70 comments about it.

I agree. She retweeted an article about depression last year so it's possible that she suffers from it.In her FB chat she seemed really happy and excited about her upcoming projects though so it could be that she is just very busy at the moment and trying to balance everything.Hopefully she is seeking help if she is dealing with something like depression. She has a good community of family and friends around her too. Hoping she does another FB chat soon to catch everyone up and perhaps at least talks a bit about the "Breakdown" recording. One of her fans tweeted her on Monday asking if there would be MM and Andy said no and posted the 'grimace' and 'see no evil' monkey emojis so not sure what she meant by that. She posted on FB and IG Oct.2nd, "Sometimes you have to stop and look at the bigger picture.It's easy to get caught up in the minutia. Take a deep breath.Remember your why and keep moving forward."
