I thought it was nice that she sang a bit of "Knew You At All" from UnFresh on the show. Her character Zoe B seems to be a pop star. A new song by Andy called "Something About That Beat" leaked yesterday with a link to a lyric video in an article that was soon taken down. She said in her Facebook chat a few weeks ago that she's been recording some new music and she might release something before the end of the month. Also that she was putting a new band together including a horn section again. She seemed pretty excited about it.

Andy said after her performance on FB Saturday that she would be in a few more episodes so it doesn't sound like her character Zoe will stay around for long. From what I have read,most think that Anissa/Thunder will end up with Grace as in the comic. I think that Andy is planning to move on to 'Upload',the Amazon series she filmed the pilot for.

Aw, I'm kind of disappoint. I was getting myself ready for her to do some flipping an end up being some bad guy or rather lady that also inherited some of these powers. But I guess not.

She said during her Stage It that she is taking a break from Music Monday for a while to concentrate on the new music that she is recording. She said that it is very different from her usual style and that she wants to work on perfecting it. She said she will try to do a Stage It every month. The new song that leaked last week was quite different than what I am used to from her and I had to listen a few times and I still wasn't really feeling it. It was all electronic musically and I thought the lyrics were a bit frivolous.I feel she is a good lyricist and the song,if written by her doesn't really display that. It didn't do much for her voice either. I think the new ballad that she has been playing live "Angels" would be a better choice for the first single. Her character on the show is gay and Andy has been so quiet about her personal life since her last known relationship,it's difficult to tell who she is leaning to. She's very supportive of LGBT rights going by her posts on social media. She did sing a beautiful rendition of "Girl Crush" by Little Big Town for her Stage It Saturday and I wondered if she was trying to reveal something to us with that selection.

Yes, it was proposed on a podcast about the show that Zoe would be used as a "plot device" by the writers to bring Anissa and Grace together and it looks like they were right. I think your idea sounded more interesting. With Andy saying she would be on a few more episodes,it will interesting to see what they do with her. The first episode she was in seemed to be a bit of a showcase for her and her music. I was amused by the fake out too. In the scene at Zoe's kickback it looked like she did give Anissa a quick kiss on the lips.

Exactly. It has always been about exposure for Andy. Prince knew this, as did those around him. In fact he told people this. It’s reasons like this that he could never really fully trust anyone around him in his business. He never met any woman (or girl) who didn’t want something from him. Anyone who can’t see through Andy’s fakeness is BLIND.

Most actresses are about exposure for themselves and getting their name out there. Prince and Andy parted ways for a reason and I have always assumed it was in part due to a difference of priorities and goals,understandable with the age difference. He stressed in interviews that Andy had a go-getter personality, a good work ethic and gave everything she did her all and he seemed to have admiration for that. Andy doesn't bring Prince up unless asked specifically about a project that they did and she seems to want to make it on her own merits and I respect that. We also don't know who all of the other women were around Prince and what their motives were. I believe that some of the women such as Mayte genuinely fell for him over time and it grew into a deep,loving relationship. Since I don't know Andy personally,I cannot comment on her "fakeness." Prince also gave her exposure himself by voluntarily bringing her name up in interviews as he did in his last one with Ebony and playing the Oui Can Love album during the press conference at Paisley announcing his European tour.

On her Insta story last night Andy shared a reminder to watch Black Lightning and asked if her followers had seen the latest episode. She wasn't in any of the scenes but her character Zoe was mentioned and the same pic of she and Anissa that Andy has on her Instagram was shown.

You're welcome. The director Sean Frank shared a photo of Andy and Lena with the caption "Angels make vids" and I think that's probably a clue about the song title. It looks like "Angels" will likely be the new single and not the dance song that leaked.The video looks like it will feature same sex couples.
