So why does she 'annoy' you again?

Uh yeah but she would have background information on recordings or performances. Which a lot of us who are into the music, not the T, enjoy. If they don't talk about it, who will? The people that do articles that say Prince's 1986 album is Under the Cherry Moon? or that Eddie M left the Prince camp after the Purple Rain tour, or that such in such 1991 song was recorded in 1996? . I don't care for a 'my favorite list' just based on what they like. She is clearly talking about background information on the songs. . As of yet, we really don't have any background information from Sheila E on the recordings or performances of these songs. She's never really went into detail. Which is something I always wanted from her(And Morris Day... like Jesse does) Sheila E always talked about the music from a excited, just like it was yesterday romantic tone. She talked about singing on Erotic City in her book and basically how it came to be and how Prince has the studio set up for it. Which I like that stuff too. . And Sheila E did not sing/perform on the studio version of Play In the Sunshine. . she of course sang and played percussion on Glamorous Life, and song backup on Girls & Boys . that is it. And she pulled on songs that are not the Top 10 songs like Christopher Tracy's Parade, 4 the Tears In Your Eyes etc which I like those songs, and those are songs not talked about.

I'm not imply she shouldn't get it. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
This moment is all there is...

I wonder if she is planning to write a book about her relationship with Prince and his music.

The ASSociates are still playing with Prince fans emotions. Sheila has been doing a lot of Prince related things since he died, Sheila just needs to do Sheila.

Sheila is always doing her own thing. She tours constantly and last year, she released a new CD.
As far as "doing Prince related things",she has a right to do that. She was a part of his life. She collaborated with him. That's part of her history, too.

Valid points. I have some issues with her but I do not think she is just riding his coattails. In a way, she is stuck between a rock and a hard place. If she doesn't mention Prince, she is criticized. If she mentions prince, she is criticized. But I just wish his older associates would be a bit more interested in his overall output. Very few of them are commenting on the new Anthology release. Maybe it is because they have reservations about his music being streamed. Maybe its because they really don't care if they weren't involved in some way. Not saying they have to like all that music, but they could say "I am glad his hard work is getting noticed."

A dull, pedestrian list that could've been curated by anybody.

And they haven't said that? Will it make a difference? The problem is not them, the problem is the Estate.
. But the problem is not the artists. The estate needs to be releasing the music period. Everyone is not getting to the NPG Sheila E Time Family Revolution shows. Many people couldn't get to Princes shows, but most people could get access to the music. Except a lot of Prince's website releases that he didn't have reissued or available. But that was on Prince.
