P-Funk Fans - I Need Your Help!

I'm super late to this but I've only just discovered that George released an internet (Facebook?) only compilation back in 2011 called BABY MAKERS - Volume 1. I can't find this to buy anywhere sad Was it ever given a physical release? I see some of the GC tracks made their way on to the last Funkadelic album but I'm unsure of the rest. Did it ever get to a Volume 2?

I'm looking for this one myself, so will second that!

To my knowledge there were no further volumes. If you do find it, please let me know.

I never got it myself but I do remember Vol 1 being sold online. AFAIK it did not get a physical release (maybe CDRs sold at shows) and there was no Vol 2.

Thanks Thunderfunk. Hmm, those CDRs sound interesting. Did these happen or are you just guessing?

I'm guessing for THIS title. They've definitely sold many different CDRs at shows, of stuff out of print, and of stuff that never got a proper physical release.

Interesting. Only been to see GC once and the only merch was a t-shirt. Do you know which titles he's sold at shows? I know there's a special One Nation Under a Groove tour cd, and of course the Paradigm CDR, which are both on Discogs but I wasn't aware of others...

I've picked up from shows, albums from Incorporated Thang Band (CDR), Sativa (CD), Children Of Production (CD), Lige Curry (CDR), Michael Hampton (CDR), Blackbyrd McKnight (CD), Drugs (CD), Electrofunkadelica (CD), Kim Manning (CD). I've seen some by 420 Funk Mob (CDR) and others I can't remember off the top of my head. I know I've seen things on CDR that I already owned on CD, so, I wasn't interested and didn't commit to memory.

One more thing I remember seeing, the Dope Dog CD single, don't remember if it was CD or CDR. I've heard about some "show-only" CD singles over the years, but, don't remember what songs.

Hope that helps.

Very much so, thanks! I hear you on the previously released stuff but I'm very intrigued what unreleased/show-only singles he had for sale. Dope Dog and the others are pretty easy to come by (give or take)

I think everything I've seen sold at shows has been available elsewhere.
