Totally. Hate to be a cynic about being born on that date, but planned c-section births are fairly common, especially of a prior child was born that way. i wouldn't be surprised if they went this route and picked the date themselves in honor of Prince.

Joshua made a video on Fathers day and gave an account of what happened..

He woke up in the early hours of the 7th and Hannah was in advanced labour.

He remarked..

Ok...well looks like this baby is really going to come TODAY !!!!!!!

I'm not a fan of the name Sovereign, but I really love the middle name Prince.

As Judith Hill said to detectives in Carver County (see below), Prince thought the Weltons "were like his kids" and "he really loved them to peices". While I don't know the Weltons personally, I really like them. My impression is that they brought Prince joy and were, more or less, his family at the end of his life. This man had serious trust issues, but he loved and trusted Josh and Hannah. They lived in a house that he owned and he was looking forward to being "Uncle Prince" to their daughter. I follow both J and H on social media and I love their faith, their love, and their outlooks on life.

I think it's a good thing that Josh and Hannah did not use Prince for the child's first name. Considering that J and H knew Prince and were a part of Prince's inner circle at the end of his life, I feel that giving their son the first name Prince would have been unfairly saddling their son with this huge legacy of having the same first name as one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century. It's one thing for a Prince fan to name their child Prince; it's quite another for members of his inner circle to do so. Using Prince as a middle name allows them to honor Prince while allowing their son to have his own identity.

It was NEVER no doubt to me that Prince really loved and cared about Joshua. He had NEVER let ANYONE produce ANY of his own albums or get credit for doing it. It's sad that Prince's fans NEVER accepted Joshua.

I remember when I attended one of Prince's last public appearances on The Arsenio Hall Show. Joshua was right there on stage dancing & playing keyboards with him. Prince wouldn't have had it any other way.

I totally agree with you, ChocolateBox. . The production credit for HNR is significant, for sure. To me, what speaks the most volume is the credit that Joshua Welton (initials JW, coincidentally, given that Prince was a JW) received for remastering Purple Rain. PR is Prince’s best-known album, and, arguably, his magnum opus. P could have remastered PR himself, but he let Josh remaster PR. Josh was in his 20s when he remastered PR and he was not a well-known producer. I am convinced that Prince gave Joshua credit because he respected Josh as a musician and also thought of him like a son. I estimate that the production and remastering credits were a bequest of sorts in that these credits were Prince’s way of taking care of the Weltons in the long term. P did not make a will, but he took care of those whom he loved, like the Weltons.
