Since the passing of Vanity and Prince, I have felt it is time to bring this album back out to the public. It was probably too raunchy for the both of them to see during their lifetimes, but I have been seeing and hearing references to Vanity 6 in television shows.

They have an album, but the album had special mixes on 12" never released on CD, as well as some full length music videos that could be released as well.

There are also some tracks that were started for the second Vanity 6 album that were never released, although Jill Jones recorded one of them.

I have an ORIGINAL Vanity 6 CD & ORIGINAL Jill Jones CD!!! The Madhouse ones cost WAY TOO MUCH!!

W Bros need 2 pull their finger out as far as the related artists are concerned, and give the fans re-issue CD's. Apollonia 6 and Vanity6 being top priority

I would love a reissue/remaster! I still play 'Nasty Girl' weekly the beat is intoxicating and lyrics .

Maybe "All Music" who uploads those unauthroized associated artists albums to iTunes will one day upload Vanity 6 and Apollonia 6 as well.

Vanity 6 was on streaming in a similar unofficial capacity as The Family for a good while before it was discvered and deleted.

We need a proper reissue campaign of all the related artists.

Odd that this story only refers to videos, but another interesting development with someone being sued over unauthorised Vanity 6 digital releases. Considering that the All Music uploads have gone through Tunecore, this may well be the person responsible for all those Prince associated artist releases.

Oh yeah, you gotta let the estate post the stuff. I can't believe that guy is contesting it, like he owns it? LOL The YouTube channel for Prince is actually good now, and has a tonne of his videos, but the associated acts still languish.

Prince taught me while he was alive and well. I got a cease and desist for posting a MIDI version of "Take Me With You" with footage from Purple Rain the movie. That's when he didn't want any damn thing on YouTube.

I would love a Vanity 6 one- the Vanity 6 version of Sex Shooter is diff than A6

I would like to hear more from V6 as there is a resurgence of things Vanity lately.

I know!! I heard from peeps I had not heard from in ages and it was hot on twitter too; RuPaul opened the gates; I think that is why I am seeing Vanity around lately where it was a little quiet. She was the original Prince girl and the one who was to be in Purple Rain. I think some are just finding out Apples was playing Vanity in Purple Rain.

I wonder if Susan and Brenda would collaborate in making interesting liner notes for it? After losing Vanity and Prince, I say let's appreciate these folks while they're with us.

Because they could include single mixes and vault stuff, and expand on the promotional photos taken after original album art was released. Did you read Duane Tudahl's book? This is also getting me interested.
