She still has a point, if you love someone, you take care of them; whether they have the ability to send you packing or not. If you're just someone on their payroll you .... well we all know what you do

The problem with being on the payroll is that once you are fired, you can't have any impact on the person whatsoever. You are out of the circle. And the next group of people will just do what P wants. What he may have failed to realize is that he did have the power to force prince into getting help (because Prince was powerless at this point) but it sounds like he was listening to Phaedra and was so used to Prince calling the shots, he still took the around-the-side approach..Of course, he wanted to keep his job but I don't think he thought P would take those pills that night (despite his anxiety) or maybe he thought like Prince did that Prince mixing pills in the plane was partly the cause of the problem and assumed that as long as P didn't mix pills, he would be fine. . I think he may have thought that P was alright for the time being because of the scare and because he had finally agreed to drug rehab. Drug rehab for P must have seemed like a massive step. I imagine Prince never agreed to that before so it must have seemed like he really wanted to stay clean. Also, Kirk was a kind of a wimp and like many men not willing to trample on another man's dignity to help him. I choose to beleive for now that his lying during the interviews was protecting Prince's reputation and his own. Plus, I do think that maybe PRince having those spare bottles indicates that he was hiding it from some people (kirk may have been one of them). I do think however that his assistants knew the score. Who else would have bought the enemas. Maybe Kirk thought P's thinness and health issues were because of pain due to not taking med's and stress--thus the reason he gave in on 15 percocet in his own name.

I’ve lost respect for her. Really started when she dinged Shelby for releasing her album the week of Celebration. She ended up posting a lame clarification on Facebook. It really was uncalled for. Notice Shelby, Liv, & Cassie aren’t pulling this cryptic BS. No they’re on stage paying tribute to their brother. Much respect to all of them. 💜

I definitely have noticed who is yapping away saying nothing and who isn't, there's many others who aren't doing this either like Hannah, Ida, Donna, Nik, Rhonda, Esperanza, Bria, Misty, and so on. And I also noticed that none of the guys are really carrying on like the women are.

Her cryptic crap needs to stop. She was around when he was struggling in 2009 to 2013. She needs to ask herself if she could have said or done something--if she hasn't already. If she did try to help him (in subtle ways...I don't imagine forceful ways would have helped) , she needs to speak up. some of the most outraged associates seem to be looking for others to blame for enabling, but what were they doing. I am not saying that people providing him pills are the same as an employee who stays out of it but it would be nice if the outraged folks would show a little regret before they get on their high horse. I like Elisa but like the song said "If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make that change". That being said, she could probably make a lot more money doing tributes than performing in Vegas and putting out a not-for-profit CD tribute. She is not selling a album on Celebration week or her book. So props to her for that.

Well, who knows what the hell their motives are. . Its not like they are doing tributes for free or getting no professional attention for these tributes. None of these folks spoke out against the corpse footage on CBS, or spoke about the regret they might have had for not being around when he was at his lowest, so I can't say I know what their real feelings are where PRince is concerned. I don't know if they are making money and getting attention off mourning fans with little regard for how the man behind the music suffered and is being exploited or if they just don't want to deal with the emotions that come up speaking out about such an unpleasant topic. I don't know if they are pschophants or 'Family".

So Prince associates don’t have the right to put out their own music? Or if they do they can’t market it to Prince fans? I think that’s ridiculous. Shelby is most known for being in Prince’s band. The people most likely to buy her music (at least initially) would be Prince fans. I don’t see what the problem is in using an occasion where a lot of die hard Prince fans are together to sell her album. She wasn’t doing it at Paisley Park. Also a lot of these associates don’t have major label record deals. I believe Shelby said she’s mostly self financed. Anyway I have more respect for the associates who aren’t throwing shade at other associates.

Okay, I will give you that. But she is one of many people doing tributes and getting paid, who like Escarzega says, shows no outrage over the corpse pictures, avoids the topic of his drug usage while she worked for him, hangs out with those who probably enabled his drug abuse, and honors him only when his/her own professional involvement is extremely obvious. This is the typical way an associate honors Prince..."Prince is the greatest...bla bla bla. Now I am going to post a picture of myself with him, or describe how great he said I was, or only discuss the work I did with him, or remind everyone of MY influence on him" All those things would be fine if they weren't so frequent and if people also just gave props to work of P's they weren't involved in". She is one of many with a very limited take on PRince's genius (limited to the time period in they were involved.) She seems like a nice woman and I hope she is. But the consistent approach to his legacy of self-aggrandizement is grating on my nerves.

No the timing doesn’t seem calculated to me. And mourning fans? You make it seem like she was messing with people emotions to get them to buy her album. Also what do you mean Shelby wasn’t in Prince’s life 2015-onwards? No she wasn’t performing with him but neither were most of the NPG as he was doing the 3EG thing. She was at Paisley Park in for one of the events in January 2016 so she was definitely still connected. And knowing what Prince did for Liv Warfield and her album I have no doubt if he was still alive he would’ve been promoting Shelby’s album too.

Elisa is beyond throwing shade. Now she is cryptically throwing conspiratorial statements. I wish someone would get her to discuss what she experienced and did when she was there. Did she ask him to stop taking drugs when he was withdrawing from percocets after his surgery and running around naked. Was she asking him to stop taking pills at the tail end of the Welcome to America tour around the time Sheila described him as loopy and probably on something. She probably just signed the NDA and kept her mouth shut. Keeping his secrets after he is dead...is that really worse than keeping his secrets when he was actively using?? I sympathize if she didn't want to lose her job, but obviously the folks in his inner circle later on didn't want to either. So who is she to talk?? If she did try to influence P to get help when she was there *even doing it while tiptoeing around the issue so as to keep employed.., then I apologize for this rant . But if she didn't even try in some way or another to offer him an ear or ask if he was feeling okay during her time there or suggest other means for pain meds, then she has got no room to talk. I do think she thinks she is doing the right thing. She could be making much more money doing those tributes probably than she is now. But I also think she might be looking for scapegoats to make herself feel better and doing it cryptically to direct the outrage away from herself. Also, I find it funny that the only person who got P to even look into rehab was the guy who everyone is hating on right now.
