I know there are love/hate opinions regarding each wife/woman Prince was involved with. Not trying to open up any of those debates. What I will say is Prince and Mayte had and lost a child together. That's some heavy shit to go through and never completely recover from. If it makes her feel a little lighter that her son is together with his father in the fterlife, I'm happy for her. And would be for whomever would be/is in a heartbreaking situation like that. |

I totally agree!! It is sweet. And, I usually don't comment on it, but it drives me crazy, too. The same thing for "there, their, and they're." "Its and it's" is another often misused pair. |

You think I based what I said on a single instance? Well, I didn't. I've heard and read plenty from Mayte over the years (that's what the "has never" is meant to imply) - and my assessment stands.

I'mma Take a look at it Most of it looks like the outfits he wore touring 1998 and after. They seem underpriced to me. Didn’t a pair of his shoes sell for $75,000? Has been paying for cold storage all these years so don’t blame her at this point. A LOT of the items are from the Estate of the GLAM SLAM manager that OD’d on Fentanyl shortly after Prince’s passing. How did he get all that stuff? |

Sheila E is a very talented musician who has ran her own independent music business for years. Mixed feelings.
Do i want to defend her?--because perhaps the auction had been decided on prior to the investigative reports being opened to the public and like some people say -- she was trying to move on.. Do I want to defend her because auctioning pictures doesn't make them disappear...after all, they will be online forever if she ever wants to see them again. But his 10 year old picture--that's some b.s.
Or do I want to chastise her for auctioning so much stuff in this particular month and do I want to question her honesty when she states that Prince was never around in Spain. If he was never around why does she have so many of his more high profile outfits from the late 90's still in her possession. Was Spain just his dumping ground for stage costumes in 98 and 99?
For about a week I was appreciating her more because she defended him against Sinead. She and ruth Argate (SIC) on twitter were the only ones who did.

It's a choppy situation for me because I still like Mayte but The school picture gets me too, she could just give it to PP. Did he have doubles of some outfits? Does PP have some of those same outfits she's selling? What about the shoes? If they are dupes, then sure but if not, give them back to PP. The jewelry...heck I'd save that for my future generations. The china, I would've also saved it was specially made for her. |

How long do you keep it? Truthfully, let others enjoy it. However, the letter and the necklace that was a gift would be hard for me to get rid of even if it wasn't Prince. At least the wedding ring isn't up for auction. I've learned from losing many loved ones that what truly matters is what is left in our heart and our memories.
