This IS about Prince! The letter was written to HIM! Geesh. People are posting in the other ex's threads. Are y'all giving them a hard time too?šŸ˜‘

THANK YOU, endiadj! People forget that they have the choice of whether or not to click on a thread. Thereā€™s other ex-girlfriend/wives threads going around. Might as well shut the whole org down since today is Prince day.

Go ahead give yourselves pats on your backs. lol Those other tiresome threads about whichever ex-girlfriends/ ex-wives are posting love letters? My point was that for ONE day can we NOT hear about Andy or the same people over and over trying to validate their relationship? Just because a love letter was found with Andy spilling her 22 year old infactuation with a 52 year old man does not automatically mean the feelings were mutual. Sometimes I wonder about the age of some you.

Good lord. Itā€™s a love letter. It isnā€™t a book. Itā€™s not someone selling a t-shirt. This isnā€™t the first love letter to Prince going around. And as for the feelings not being mutual, he saved the letter. That has to mean something obviously. eek

Andy didn't post the letter. She hasn't posted anything on social media today. It was the media site that decided to write an article. She most likely didn't want it out there for the world to see and she may not have been aware that he even saved it.She downplayed their relationship yesterday in her interview and said very kind and loving things about him and I appreciated her for that. She said that she wouldn't be the person she is today without him and that he changed her life.Ingrid Chavez was on the same show and she also shared a bit about her time with him, saying the same thing and told a few nice stories. She also shared a new song dedicated to Prince called You Gave Me Wings from her upcoming album.

Prince told Andy that he liked her during Crimson & Clover at the Troubadour show in May of 2011 so there seemed to be a mutual attraction at that point at least.

Prince LOVED women.
He was still PRINCE at that time.
He changed later, from about late 2014 onwards.
I think they had a very quick obsession and then there was a lot of drama.
But from 2011 - 2013 she was front and center in his life as his musical protege, and you know what happened in those relationships smile
One thing I see though...
Prince was every bit as sexy as we THOUGHT!
Andy was crazy about him!

I feel that Prince was a very mature, wise, highly evolved man. It wouldā€™ve taken a very mature, wise, highly evolved or seriously spiritually growing woman to capture him for good!

I just looked through the walkthrough of PP and from the photos, the letter appeared to be found in a pocket inside a composition book along with a greeting card that was laying face down.It looked like they had it on top of a bathroom vanity. Some Bible verses were also scribbled down on what looked like a hotel card. There was another note on the same hotel stationary as Andy's letter with some words written down in what looked like his writing about various topics and it also looked like he had a set list from an after show from 2011 tucked inside. They also took a picture of Andy's photo in the meditation room.He had it over in the corner sitting on a pedestal with a candle to the other side of it on another pedestal. It looked to be in a white frame and it's the same photo he used for the Oui Can Luv project.

Was Andy interviewed for the investigation ...Long Gone is a favourite song of mine that she performed ( and I learned It on guitar) and I wonder if they broke up over his addiction ,,,the first line goes something like " you can change if u want to , that u dont is what I fear"

Andy has always played things as being lowkey and I think wanted to keep it this way...so I'm sure she's bothered right now. She didn't post anything to acknowledge his transition day, and then to have this come out...i'm sure it hit her hard.

From reading the letter and observing their interactions onstage, the songs they wrote together...you can tell there was love there. Seems him taking a chance in her, was incredibly impactful. There's so much we'll never know about 'them' but at least we know they seemed to touch eachother's lives.

I don't know.I didn't see her name on what appeared to be a contact list. I kind of wondered the same thing honestly if his addiction may have been a factor. I love Long Gone too and that's cool you learned it on guitar and it is interesting lyrically.Andy said that Prince was inspired to write it after listening to Fire and Rain at Paisley and that they collaborated on it.

She's never said other than that they talked about the Piano Microphone shows in the documentary.Prince went to see her show in LA at Bootleg Theater September 10th 2015 so it may have been around then.

Yes it was said that he called and invited her to the party at Paisley but it was never confirmed.

The letter is very sweet; however, there was no need for it to be released publicly. It is very, very upsetting that Prince's (and Andy's) privacy has been so egregiously violated with the dumping of all the photos and other personal information. At this point, IMHO, it's probably good for Andy that she is not on the Prince tribute tour with the NPG.

Also, it comes as no surprise to most that Andy's sublime ballad "Nothing More" was inspired by Prince. She already admitted in at least one interview that, since meeting Prince, most of her songs are about him. I think that must have been extremely attractive to him. He wrote many, many songs about women, but I don't know how many, if any, women had previously written songs about/for him.

I agree. She won't be able to downplay the relationship anymore in interviews either. She will most likely be questioned about it at some point. She again seemed embarrassed when questioned in her latest interview about kissing Prince so I don't think she ever intended to reveal anything about their personal relationship.

Yes, it is one thing to have fans and media speculate about their relationship. She could always deflect those questions. Now, that will be much more difficult; however, I'm sure that she will find the strength to handle this development with her usual grace.

She will probably have to finally at least admit that they were dating since Judith also revealed that in her interview with the police.

I was wondering about this. Was this note from Andy? There is no date on it, so who knows how long it was sitting there. Also, don't you think if that note was special to Prince, he would have kept it in special place? Maybe not? confused

It's hard to know where he actually kept the letter, as it looks like the place was ransacked. What we know for sure is this: He kept the letter.

So, do you think that someone was throwing his stuff in bags? The reports state that someone claims to have seen people walking out of PP carrying boxes after Prince passed away.

I don't know what happened and I won't presume to even hazard a guess. I will say that I have read repeatedly that Paisley Park was not secured immediately upon his passing.

Nope, it sure wasn't. Just so heartbreaking to see Prince's personal belonging thrown about. So disrespectful, and these very same people claim that they were trying to protect his privacy, but yet they violated his private things! rolleyes

I don't know who did the ransacking. It might have been the police...but, I suppose it might have been Paisley Park insiders, as well. And, I agree: It was so painful looking at those photos of the disarray, I could not stomach more than a few of them.

It is devastating to see his things strayed all over like this, yes.

At closer look of the photographs, it seems that Prince had left an entire suitcase from a trip to the Continental unpacked.

The letter Andy wrote him was also on stationary from the Continental.

It is very possible, in fact probable, that the investigators found the letter in that suitcase, which had apparently been unpacked all this time.

Yup. Dude had a big house, with lots of stuff, and leaving a trip (suitcase) with all of its papers and concert programs and notes unpacked, was probably not unheard of.
I canā€™t post photos, yā€™all know that. Iā€™ll try to Orgnote the photo of the suitcase with all of its contents still in it, including a plastic ā€œIntercontinentalā€ bag in it, to Mumio to post.
The investigators had pulled things out of it to photograph.
You might all have to go through the photos yourself if I canā€™t get the photo of the suitcase to Mumio.

Great question. People amaze me with the stuff they pull out of thin air here on the Org. Like in this instance, there is NO possible way this person has ANY basis for this assertion.
