As deeply as I have loved Prince's work from the time I was yay high in the 70s, I have never been an apologist for him being a complicated and infamously unyielding individual... but Sinead and anything she has to say has been problematic for me for a good minute now. She is known to be mentally unhinged, and once she came out and flatly accused ARSENIO HALL, of all people, of being one of the folks who supplied Prince with drugs through the years she lost all credibility for me.

Not a Sheila fan anymore.Yes she is talented.But after all the information out now.. I've lost respect for her.

I went to the Varsity Theatre show. It was great. Not the typical show. She would tell some stories and do some songs throughout. Very laid back. It was a stripped down band, so she mainly played the drumset. She told stories of the setup she had for SOTT tour, how her Boni, and Cat were hungover on the day of the I Wish U Heaven video shoot.

She brought Mychael Gabriel out front to tell some stores and he ended up getting really emotional talking about how he was conceived during the Purple Rain tour and that Prince and Sheila were his God parents. Sheila talked about the ATWIAD album cover and that his girlfriend at the time, whose name she wouldn't mention (Susannah) was not happy about Sheila being on the cover. Sheila said she ended up with a mustache and was pissed.

St Paul came out and played some organ and then grabbed his bass and they did Feline, then High Fashion. Paul left then. She did a Madhouse cut and 2 Nigs United 4 West Compton. The whole set list was great. I saw Ingrid Chavez, Maya, and Omarr also gave a short speech. I had tix for Liv, but chose this gig instead. Glad I did.

When she did the Prince tribute on BET, I was moved to tears--she looked very grief-stricken, and seemed sincere.......but then all this stuff that's been going on since Prince died (the tours/tributes/merchandising), etc.....has left a sour taste in my mouth.

And......now the info with the investigation -- seems as though Prince didn't have not one true friend!!

Funkenberry threw some shade at Sheila on his latest podcast. Don’t think he was cool with some of her self promotion during Celebration week and then announcing her own gig last minute. I don’t always agre with him but I think he’s right here.
