It is our honor to dedicate our Love and energy in support of Rosie's journey to wellness.
We have partnered with the PRN Alumni Foundation to bring u this event taking place at the Homebase of our Monthly "Days of Wild" Day Party, The Legionnaire in Oakland.
The theme is dedicated to the first album that Rosie was featured on with Prince, "Diamonds and Pearls", so ROCK YOUR BLING AND PEARLS and join us in this Celebration of Love for this phenomenally talented and beautiful spirit, Rosie Gaines!
DJ Spooky Calavera and DJ Hightop will be spinning 100% PURPLE FUNK - the music of PRINCE and The Minneapolis Sound and this event will be hosted by ME - GiGi

**$10 is the suggested donation with 100% of the proceeds going to Rosie Gaines. We will also be selling the Rosie Benefit t-shirt designed exclusively by Steve Parke, which debuted on Valentine's Day. It will be available for purchase at our event for $30. Powerhouse vocalist Rosie Gaines came into many of our collective consciousness when she joined Prince’s New Power Generation band.
In her tenure, she toured the world playing keyboards and singing alongside Prince and the NPG. Rosie was featured in the film “Graffiti Bridge”, was prominently featured on the “Diamonds and Pearls” album, and is attributed to one of the most historic duets in music history lending her soulful style to “Nothing Compares to You” with Prince.
Rosie’s music career both prior and post Prince is a rich tapestry of collaboration and reinvention. The youngest of 10 children, Rosie is herself a multiinstrumentalist and has released a number of works independently as well as 1995’s “Closer Than Close” on Motown.
In recent times, Rosie has suffered some health setbacks that have taken off her course with musical destiny.
With your support, we can help lift Rosie's spirits and help her have easier access to the care that she needs.
