I always felt that Prince looked very happy and relaxed with Mani. I think when Prince got into a relationship, he put his whole self into the relationship, especially during the beginning stages of that relationship. But then music would call him back, again, and all that goes with it, which would cause him to begin shutting himself away from every one because music is a demanding mistress. Once that would happen, it was all she wrote for the relationships. Not that he didn't create some beautiful music while he was with those he loved, but the touring, the demands on time for practices for tours, and all that goes with it, is much more than most people can handle. With a musician, you have to be willing to share them, not just with their band members, but their fans, the music, the venues, the cameras, the interviewers, the costumers, and the list goes on and on, put Prince in the middle of that, and it would take an extremely strong woman with a lot of trust to handle all of that, especially knowing there are a lot of women throwing themselves at your man.
