RR Auction is excited to present our next auction entirely devoted to music mega-star, Prince. The items are available for preview now; bidding will be held Feb. 8-15.
‘DRIVEN BY CREATIVITY’ “He was an extremely smart, articulate man with a very, very quick wit. He was driven by his creativity—there was always the next record, the next video, the next tour—it was 24/7.” -- Therese Stoulil, personal assistant to Prince, 1986-1996

Very few artists were as prolific creatively as Prince. The huge catalog of albums released to the public are, incredibly, just the tip of the iceberg as to what still lies, unheard, in his much-discussed vault.
Then there are the songs that have rarely been heard. Take this item – that Prince pulled from release at the last second – an infamous work known only as “The Black Album.”
Prince was also known for his meticulous attention to detail, whether with video or film shoots, in his lyrics, or in any project he was creating. Two examples in our auction:
“Under the Cherry Moon...t notebook Handwritten lyrics for ...our Man” ‘I KNEW I WAS LUCKY’ Sound engineers, personal assistants, musicians, even romantic partners – our consignors were truly Prince’s inner circle. Prince personal assistant...se Stoulil, Prince saxophonist Eric Leeds, Prince's ex-fiancee Susannah Melvoin ...Hear their incredible stories. HEAR OUR PODCASTS WITH PRINCE INSIDERS

Founder | Yeah. One of my big unrealized goals with the org is/was to make at least a VIRTUAL place for fans to appreciate items like this. Maybe one day. At least RR treats everything with the respect I think it's due, doing research, writing good descriptions and taking quality photos, etc... ben -- "the prince.org guy" |

I'm currently bidding on an item. Crossed fingers that I win. Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman | |

Some really great stuff on there! Just don't understand auctioning off domestic record albums starting at 200 bucks??? If that's the case, then i could sell all mine and get a pair of purple boots!!! "Whatever skin we're in

I'd love that piano, but they could have added some audio to hear the sound of it. | |

I think some were given but I doubt Prince gave anyone a copy of his passport info to sell. I doubt he gave his socks away or a picture of him and his dad. Or copies of contracts. I said it before thank god he died alone or someone would be selling the clothes he died in. | |

. Seems like his family is allowing this.

Found an article about the five copies of the Black Album that some WB employee recently found. According to this article the family took one copy and he was able to auction off 3 on behalf of the family and the final one is at this auction. So yes the greedy ass family members are able to auction off some stuff.
So may guess is the family handled this without Comerica since these albums were not assest of the estate
I noticed that Kim Berry stuff is gone and the passport stuff is gone. I will have to look to see if the soundboard and boots are gone. The auction ends on the 15th so no one acccquired anything yet.
Warning the article is filled with some voodoo nonsense.

----------------------------------------- Prince had channeled so many artists through his fingers, and his pants, and The Black Album sounded like he was updating Sly and the Family Stone, not just any sly either. Prince was thanking Africa for talking to him.The Black Album, aka The Funk Bible, was Prince’s sixteenth studio album. Prince originally planned for release on December 8, 1987, as the follow-up to Sign o' the Times, Warner Bros didn’t release it until November 22, 1994 when it came out as a limited edition CD and cassette.

luvsexy4all said: they can sell japan live shows from the board???? The estate has been notified the only think I think is they are not concerned about items being sold that are not cataloged as actual assets. Or that some of this stuff was put up by the family and the stuff put up by the associates the family is okay with being sold. Remember for a few days after Prince died the estate had no admin. Family was going in and out. The facility manager went on vacation. Anyone could have come in and taken stuff. [Edited 2/13/18 15:06pm] | |

Wow, they are finding all these little good tidbits in every nook and cranny, aren't they?! They will probably even go so far as to auction off one of Prince's buttons that he wore on the fly of his pants just to make a quick buck!!
