Prince's sister, Sharon L. Nelson, has posted the following on Twitter:

"In Feb 2016 Prince played Melbourne, during this show he stated "Love Your Parents, I Loved My Father, He Gave Me Rhythm, He Gave Me Soul" Are you ready for the Music that inspired Prince's Genius? 3.2.18 we present to you"

I was able to download the full album today and it sounds great! I love the whole concept and am excited about the project. I really hope it gets some attention from current jazz makers and fans. It would play really well on NPR. My one complaint is that I wish a little more effort was placed in the packaging/artwork.

I liked the album after listening to it this morning as well! I also think it would do well on many of the NPR and jazz stations of radio! Many of your college radio stations are often Jazz stations. I don't think it would hurt to maybe email their program directors to have them check it out smile

Well, this music is not at all my cup of tea so they won't be making any coin off me lol

It is a vanity project and I doubt they recoup the cost spent to record it. I wonder who footed the bill.

They certainly didn't pay a lot for the cover art

Agree. It’s embarrassingly amateur.

Sounds really great though, halfway through.

" At night he would compose, and play his music on the piano. The kids would head to bed upstairs at 7:30, and they’d drift off to sleep listening to their father’s piano playing. "

More like they were sitting at the strip club watching him ....
