This is very cool. I have never seen this. I wonder where it is now? It seems so heartfelt her thoughts put into it.

This a fantastic find, LoveJunky. She is so sweet I could cry. *calling Vashtix!* Vashtix, have you seen this?

I miss old TV, they would never give her the time to explain all that now. Could it still be around? Good stuff Lovejunky, thanks! "if you can't clap on the one, then don't clap at all"

Thanx Lovejunky, I've never seen this before either. Luv Vanity and her beautiful spirit. 👍❤ "A strong spirit transcends rules." - Prince

That’s really interesting. I wonder what she meant by the object, I’m assuming is a clam or something, where she stated “it’s a woman and her baby in there to protect them”?🤔 [Edited 12/2/17 9:06am]

I am SURE I read on here after Prince passed that the jewellery box created by Vanity was in his private quarters at PP.

This is not a jewelry box.

YES. This might've been it. Or, he had another one made by her. What year was this video from, Vashtix? His protégés all remained important to him. Forever.

WOW. Thanks, Love!! I had never seen this. Watching Vanity display the piece made me feel so sad. Clearly, she loved Prince to distraction. It was also sad to hear her talk about moving on from Purple Rain. She handled it pretty well, at least publicly, but I think that she deeply regretted that decision. I tell you, if there is a more compelling story in American entertainment history than Prince (and his associates), I'd like to know what/who it is.

The movie is called "Memories of Murder from 1990. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100132/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_11
I feel bad for her because she osbviously high. Also this would back up what her brother in law said about Prince and Vanity getting back together around the Batman time.

I didnt catch that she was high first time... I was just struck by how Sweet is her nature
SHe carried herself relativle well under the circumstances nothing too embarrassing... Its clear though that she couldnt embrace her dark side as Prince did..
Vanity was too good for this world in some ways...

I remember watching Memories Of Murder years ago, she was amazing especially in some of those scenes with Nacy Allen. I wish that it (along with Lady Boss) was more readily available on dvd, blu-ray and Netflix. [Edited 12/3/17 3:10am] Keep Calm & Listen To Prince

You know, looking at this again, her voice really quivers around 9:03 when she says “That’s Prince and me in the cover of Rolling Stone.”
LJ is right, she was too good for this world. What a beautiful way to say it. I think Prince knew that. [Edited 12/3/17 14:33pm]

This is the sculpture that she made Prince as a thank u showing her love after he written Adore which was released circa 1987. She worked on the sculpture for about two yrs. (88-90) making sure she got it just right. She was such a sweet person. And her love for Prince undeniable!

I always never knew what to get her, and would sometimes feel embarrassed when I knew how much thought she put in her gift. Hers were always reflective. Reminders of a memory, a moment spent talking about nothing and... then later she'd show me that she was really listening.
The rock was a surprise but I immediately knew why and her thoughts behind it. She had read something I had written, which reveal a bit of me as a kid. Her gift was also saying that not much had changed, that she sees that kid in me. At the river, daydreaming and skipping rocks across the water.
Yes she was... she was very sweet.

She reminds me of the type of child who could endlessly play and pretend And chat to her dolls and stuffed animals and give them such life and personalities that you wanted to know more. Such a joy to be an adult and have access to that childlike deep deep imaginative place. That is a gift.

She and Debbie used to share some of the most silliest jokes. This is a poem she shared and jokingly thought of it kind of like "the story of her life," after death.
Judge Not
I can hearing her giggling...
