Beverley Knight covers 'The Cross' on BBC 'Gospel Christmas' show

I've always been fond of Bev, and I thought she did a good job here. Nice to hear a cover that's not Purple Rain get an airing, too.



I enjoyed the whole programme, tbh - which also featured Tom Jones, Jessie Ware and Kwabs. As well as more traditional selections done in a contemporary gospel style, there were some nice versions of 'Higher Love' by Steve Winwood and Dylan's 'I Believe in You' in there. The full show is on iPlayer, if you are able to access to that, but the BBC has made some clips available, which I think can be accessed outside the UK on the programme page, with a few highlights. Enjoy!

I like this.

Beverly's cover of Rock Steady on that live CD Prince put out from the london shows was amazing. I actually liked that song more than most of the rest of that CD. Love her voice.
