Appears They had a real connection and it is why there are so many trying to discout it or validate whatever he had with other women. I thinkPrince and Denise were true friends and spiritually connected. Clearly romantically he moved on and married twice. However his connection with Denise was not on that level.

Purple Rain was about them. PR made him an internatioal star. They will forever be connected. That era she was a big part for him. That alone is special.

Ok so that is Susan on the left in the photo and Vanity in the green strapless top. I thought that profile was Susan M.

Vanity was wearing the hat. Those look like such fun times being young like they were and about to change the pop culture landscape forever.

it absolutely had to be the best ever. i remember seeing george michael right before he blew up,

the concert was virtually empty and you could just walk right up to the stage, little security, i love

the many beginnings that this pic represents. look how the young guy is right up on the table as susan is signing, no velvet rope. so completely awesome.

Those times were the inspiration for Purple Rain and I think that is why there is such fascination with that period of Prince's life and those who experienced it with him prior to Purple Rain.

yes pre purple rain was magic. folks diamonds and pearls can't hold a candle to it. IMO

back when we still wore panty hose, check susan M's legs. shopped at express, and Butler shoes

Those are the times I would love to know about the pre Purple Rain- the 1999 tour a.k.a. Triple Threat tours. I mean now - in retrospect. I would love a documentary of it sort of like Eyes on The Prize - with those who lived it telling the story- NO ACTORS OR set ups like those lame REELZ docs

Guys wore baggies and girls got dressed up to go out. Fun times. He was such a trend setter and then he would drop one sound her style and jump to something else. We could not keep up with him. Do you know in 1985 the Minneapolis sound had the entire top ten of the RnB chart.
