Tykas repeated story that she knew that Prince was dying 3 years before he passed away bothers me. In several interviews on UK TV shows last week she repeated the claim that she received a call from Prince when he told her that he had "done everything he had been sent to do" and asked her to email a song and image to several people. She says that a short time later she realised that this was him telling her and the recipients of the email that he was dying.

Correct me if I am wrong but Prince died of an accidental overdose of an opiod. Prince did not foresee his death 3 years prior. He died in extremely tragic, avoidable circumstances. I guess Tykas claims are down to one of two possibilities - either its how she is dealing with her grief (which is understandable) or shes embelishing things in anticipation of the release of her book.

Either way, I don't like hearing it.

Just after he died, she said she'd known for two years, now it's three. This is where the terminal illness theories sprung up from. Just because he died from the accidental overdose, that doesn't rule out that he might have had an existing terminal condition.

I know he looked pretty bad towards the end - frail, slight etc... I would attribute that to the opiod addiction more-so than any underlying illness. But unless we are given any actual verified proof of any illness, terminal or otherwise, we will never know for sure and speculation will continue...

It's a crock, I personally feel she's full of shit and outta keep her trap shut about this subject - unless she's gonna come forth with something more concrete than psychic BS (and also stop changing the timeline on her claims, too). It's a headline grab. And it's pathetic.

Agreed. I'm not joining in with the speculation, just repeating the reasoning as it definitely does tally with Tyka thinking he was dying. But it's hard to know with Prince, if he was half as cryptic with his family as he was with us, he could have meant anything. He could have been at the mall and had just finished his shopping!

What about when she mentions, Prince called her about producing some music! WTF! Now you know thats a lie! And she is going to be the main person in charge of his estate! Worrying. Be better in the hands of a corporation! I, like us all, want her and the rest to do a good job. I really hope they do. But she doesnt come across as the sharpest tool in the box.

In 2016, after PP opened up as a museum (October?), she gave the interview saying she knew 2 years prior (2014). In this interview (2017) she's still saying she knew in 2014, which is 3 years ago. She's not "changing" her story.

We all have these people in our families. They'll tell you they dreampt of so-and-so, the night before they died or felt a cold breeze at #:## which was the moment someone pass.

also, she's trying to backtrack on the "prostitution" claim. She admitted to this in her autobiography, and now she's trying to backtrack on that as well. And the 1st order of business (according to her) will be clearing up "whether Prince was gay, whether he was balck..." WTF?! She needs to be in a padded room with her dinosaur. Isn't there a law in place that protects estates from being under the control of someone so off balance? If not, there should be.

It's highly unlikely Prince called Tyka shortly before his death and asked her to 'produce some tracks'. This would've been a career first and something that never happened, despite numerous opportunities, in Prince's lifetime. It is a lie though that Tyka may use to justify producing music at PP and not just her own... It also elevates her sense of importance from a mere relative (which I believe she was) to an artistic collaborator.

Dont want it become a witch hunt against the family, but its becoming more worrying the more they speak. I have everything crossed that it will all come good in the end. PP seems to be running ok, and the o2 display is a good idea, so there has been some positives so far.

Not worried in the slightest. This is the heir's inheritance, not ours, and they don't need our approval about anything. If you'd all just stop with your expectations over something that doesn't belong to you, you'd find yourselves resting easy over this.
