She would never be forthcoming and no matter how many pics are posted and no matter how many people hype her at that time with him her past shades it. The divorce shades it. I do not want to hear from her. Again I find these women not to genuine. If they wrote these books while he was living ok but something will ring untrue for me. The Divorce stuff just makes my tummy tight. I know there are 2 sides to marriages but it hurts to think he HAD to work to pay her extensive settlement. I know I am being silly and childish but that is how I see it. She us very happy about this book...I will tell you that.

I would be totally supportive of her if just ONCE in this last year she did SOMETHING that wasn't calculated to her benefit. Peiple have VERY short memories.

purplerabbithole said: what kind of things did Manuela post when she was a fangirl back in the day (presumably the late 90's)? Was she fanatical and hostile? Did she just talk about the music or also harp on his looks and fame? Was she a constant poster or an occasional one? Just trying to get an idea about how she presented herself back then. Go here - https://groups.google.com...#!overview - and search for "alt.music.prince+manuela+testolini" (minus the quotes), scroll roughly half way thru results to "I looked into the Crystal Ball" and click on that (about 12 various threads) and her post is 13, or so, from the op. She posted under her name, Manuela Testolini, and generally asked for bootlegs, concert info and the like, nothing salacious. However, it is nothing short of miraculous that in 1998 she was a mere fan posting on a fan site and three years later she is in the man's bed....well, officially (or legally thru marriage). Apparently, the moral of her story is that "dreams do come true", albeit thru cunning manipulation and dishonest intent! I'm sure she's even happy about M1's book, to some extent. She got the kid glove treatement. There's so much that could have been said, but I'd venture to say that emotions were very raw while finishing up the book, even though it's alleged the book was already completed before P stopped it in 2015.

She got pennies out of him compared to what he just earned from the Musicology tour. No surprise that she filed for divorce right after that was all done.

I think what hooked Prince was his loneliness. I did not see him not wanting to let her go. The romanticizing of this woman, M2, boggles my mind. I am not saying she is bad but she was not the Bible toting woman of God he thought he was getting. She out poor Tamar through sonething. Tamar was not going w/ Prince as M2 did to M1. I am amazed how M2 gets praised as some sort of salvation for Prince. I am not a fan of M1 but at least she us not being heralded as a beakon of virtue and light and she was the Mrs. Nelson M2 shat on to get Prince. M2 got her money and her place in history as Mrs. Nelson #2 and M2 was wrong how she got him. [Edited 11/14/17 7:31am]

He didn't want the conversation to end even though he had just given her a hard time about her passport and belongings. But that didn't have to do with Manuela; it had to do with Prince and his fear of being alone. [Edited 11/14/17 7:52am]

I think a lot of it has to do with the phase Prince was going through when he was with her. Remember the ONA tour, the revitalized sound of TRC and the tour, the brandnew songs or rare songs from his catalog he´d play during ONA, the celebrations at Paisley Park, especially the 2002 celebration, and then the Musicology tour which was a huge success.....all those things happened when he was with her. Just saying. Female fans envied her back then, but many fans also thought she had a positive influence on him. I don´t know. But I did like that phase. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

All the good stuff was due to Prince chamging his life around. He became a real JW amd studied his Bible. The changez he decided to make clearly interrupted the lifestyle she wanted. He clearly saw her as the opportunist she was. Read the divorce papers that leaked. She wanted THAT money and she added nothi g to his brand. She gained from being with Prince. He did not gain from being with her. All the pics in the world trying to paint this great love is shady. She got him while he was rebounding and married to M1 that makes?M2 snakelike. She wanted so much money Prince had to work to pay her. I am sick of M2 being praised for duping him into marriage.
