She should've known better, but people make mistakes. But Laura and some others take this bullshit as facts and even think that this says everything about these two women. I understand the critics but I'll never get the hate. As you said, everybody got their good and bad sides. But I think Mayte showed her loving side with the book about her life with Prince.

Uhhm there are a lot of movies where the actors are literally shitting their guts out. American Pie, Along came Holly, The other Women. etc.

I said a big part of the problem was fans being possessive, they don't like a man being taken from them, they hated larry graham and the witness' too because they were afraid they'd lose the man, it's a natural thing.

That happened though, it really did. Prince was trying to influence his fanbase early 2000s onwards. Some fans railed against that. I don't see a problem with them having that stance.

Because she stated "philanthropy brought Prince and [her] together" when it was really his music and a celebrity crush/stanning. Because after P passed she made statements about how she had "just reached out to him to let him know [she] was building a school in his honor", a statement that waas reputed by people stating that they hadn't spoken in years and that any communication, if at all, was done through 3rd parties. Because after P passed, her 2nd celebrity husband was singing P's songs at a tribute concert she allegedly had a hand in setting up.

There are plenty of reasons why some fans "hate" M2. They just knew her game waaaaaay back and watched it all play out.

However, the reality of the situation is that if it wasn't M2 it'd be someone else. I think the vitriol stems from M2 being a fan, someone who frequented sites like these quite regularly when she was very young and knew she was stanning and people constantly call her out on her shit .

Dr. Fbry had Afshin on his last podcast, and Afshin said he saw a lot of negativity about Manuela posted online in response to his putting some pictures of her in his book.
Afshin sounded disappointed about that and stopped responding to people who were doing that.
He said "prince loved her." And something about how not everything comes in a tidy package wrapped up with the bow, perfect...that is not a direct quote but it's the best I can remember.

I think prince had a tendency to get very deeply emotionally involved with the women he was with. We know this inspired a lot of his music. And it didn't always work out. That's life sonetines.
