Chile. I was done when I saw the tape of him singing "Happy Birthday" to Cat. I know she just about died. Can you imagine?? And, as far as I know, I've never seen any footage of him singing birthday wishes to anyone else, not even his wives. Folks can say what they will about Ms. Glover, but I think Prince had a real affection--and a soft spot--for her. I mean, he did keep her around for many years.

Have mercy!!!! When he sings “ what do you want for you birthday from me?”!!!!!!!! That nailed it in my mind!!!!!

Mumio I agree it s everyone’s right. But if you want a particular result, which I don’t know if cat does, how you use language can help with that.

Has anyone read Trevor Noah’s book “Born a crime”. He has a brilliant chapter on
The very notion that language and speech was how Trump won. Speech has power. The power to distance someone from your thought and the power to draw them to it.

I recommend seeing Trevor live too if you can or desire.

I'm not mad at her about the profanity, but I do think it affects her credibility in the minds of some. But, clearly, Cat gives ZERO f*@ks. Personally, I like her a lot. And, if Cat ever tells ALL, she will have the Purple Family gripping their pearls--if not snapping the strands--and choking on their Limoncello. Mark my word, Cat has a blockbuster story. Personally, I think it would be cathartic for her to let it all out. Over time, profound secrets can be extremely destructive.

Why would Cat's book be a blockbuster?

What profound secrets?

I believe some of what she says..

Calling out Kirk? Absolutely?

Larry? Somewhat, yes, although I believe she insinuated that Larry and P weren't as close at the end as people thought.

As far as the Black Album being "rereleased"? It's a bootleg.

And the host stating that it wasn't released in the US... ok....

As far as the album being released without his blessing, real heads would know that 1-800-NEW-FUNK had advertisements specifically mentioning the limited release of "The Legendary Black Album". I actually got my copy from Paisley, along with Exodus and Hornheads.

I believe that Cat was good intentions, her heart is in the right place because she loves him deeply and is trying to protect the truth and his legacy, but is still misunderstanding that P indeed wanted the museum and definitely invited fans to the spot on the regular before he passed, as well as left details regarding how he wanted everything done. Out of everything that Tyka has stated so far , I absolutely believe that those details were set in place - regardless of how quick it happened.

However, I absolutely believe that those coming out of the woodwork now after 20-30 years of irrelevance is completely a moneygrab, and there are a few going along for the ride out of misguided allegiance to what they think P would have wanted. Case in point: Levi and Tony sued P but now they're playing his songs on tour after years of no one knowing - or caring- what they've been doing.

All in all, it was a good interview with some cool revelations - "Strange Relationship" being about Sheila?

Exactly, we know about the blind item and we know that two more names were out there as children that we now do not even see as dismissed they just got down from 7 to 5 with two people claims having vanished.

I also remember something about Tyka bringing some heir info to the court. I firmly belive settelments or trust were put in place a long time ago and we the public are not going to know anything until the money runs out.

It would not be the first time something like this has happened. Even the Jimi Hendrix estate set up money for one of Jimi's children in Sweden.

The Marley estate has included a couple of extra Marly spawn the public knows little about. It happens.

In addition, he could have just given Cat money to be quiet about him just in general. I would not be so quick to say she had no communication with him or knows nothing. She may know what he wanted her to know just like everyone else.

Here's the thing. The first hurdle for any potential heir(s) would have been to have the judge allow him/her/them to undergo DNA testing. That was not easy. As I said earlier, the birth certificate was the first firewall. If there was a father listed other than P, you were bounced out of there in short order. I'm sure we've all heard of cases where a woman has a child that is not her husband's or boyfriend's, but the men are none the wiser. So, the mate is listed as the father of record...and the mother takes that secret to her grave, lest her cuckolded partner send her to an early grave. Also, if you were adopted, you could not be approved for testing.

I'm not sure if this is Minnesota law or if the judge set these parameters just for this EPIC intestate case. In any event, with stakes this high, I think I would try to find an attorney who would try to appeal that ruling, assuming that/those decision(s) is/are appealable. If so, it could have the potential to be a landmark case. Perhaps there's a lawyer in the house who could shed light on this bit of Minnesota inheritance law.

But Prince had to go on the Purple Rain tour and that took him away for the next two years. Cavallo said he wanted to start working on The Dawn, but they needed a concert film. So I said I would work on the Sign O' the Times movie uncredited.

The Judge reached the proper legal conclusion in the cases of the adoptees. I know it doesnt seem right morally but the Judge was just following the law.

Also, a birth certificate alone does not establish parentage as we saw in the case of Duane's heirs.

This was not a precedent setting decision and not unique to Minnesota. From what I can tell none of them filed appeals but for Duane's family.

This was not a precedent setting decision and not unique to Minnesota. From what I can tell none of them filed appeals but for Duane's family.

First, I'd like to eliminate Duane and his heirs from this discussion. This is about children potentially spawned by Prince.

That said, of course, the birth certificate doesn't establish parentage. But, basically, the only way a potential child of Prince could have a DNA test is if there were no father listed on the birth certificate, particularly if the father listed was married to the mother. If I'm wrong on this, I hope someone will correct me. I'm going to look back at the guidelines published by the Court just to be sure.

But, what if, Prince fathered a child with a married woman, even under common law, who named her husband as the "father" on the birth certificate???? Or, what if Prince fathered a child who was adopted, perhaps by a relative???

That's the point I'm trying to make. In these two scenarios, even if these were indeed Prince's child(ren), they would not have been eligible for genetic testing in this case and, thus, would have no legal avenue of pursuing their birthright in this intestate case of historic proportions.

That is what I'm asking: Would appealing be an option in these specific scenarios? And, if I were a potential Prince offspring in one or both of the situations I have laid out, this is the question I would be posing to the foremost experts in appellate law.

If Cat had Prince's child, and as much as she dislikes Tyka, isn't it likely that she would be screaming it for everyone to hear? After all that would put the screws to Tyka and the other siblings.

I’ve just listened to the whole interview. My opinions are:

1) Cat seems honest & real & very likeable.

2) She is a relevant & key player in P’s most prolific & famous period.

3) She comes across as telling the truth when talking about when she was in the band.

4) Her comments regarding P’s later life & choices should be taken as conjecture.

5) The DJ is an insensitive amateurish arsehole who should be replaced with anyone with half a brain!

6) I love me some Cat!!! 💜
