Yes, "U Got The Look" lyrics, handwritten by P, was found in his personal luggage. This has been verified by the search warrants. Tyka has never sued P. Just saying. Unless these were a gift to someone, the handwritten lyrics are kind of puzzling. From 2010 onwards though, I did notice Prince forgetting or missing lyrics in performances. As we now know he had surgery that year and was allegedly suffering from withdrawals I've since wondered if that had any connection to it?

Okay, that Link worked. So Prince said that he slowed down with recording music and as I read it he also talked about a bright future.
Or what did you want to say about what he said? Am I getting something wrong?

It was based on the 2014 unpublished RS article that start this speculation about Prince knew he was dying years ago. This came out long before Tyka said a word. I don't have the full article anymore but someone around here does.

I didn't read anything that made me think that he might have known that his time was limited.

With regards to the MJ quote in RS.... In addition, didn’t Tavis Smily say something similar? P was very upset when MJ passed because he …I forgot the exact quote…but TS said something to the effect that P said he was too close to it and they ended up talking all night. TS didn't say exactly what they disucssed but TS did say he knew P was taking pain medication. Did I remember that correctly? ~~DD55

Meaning I think P was Telling us, or the reporter. Why was the article not published in 2014?? [Edited 11/19/17 20:36pm]

It was not published because they wanted P to sit for a photo shoot for the cover and instead P submitted a "heavily retouched" photo. Which appears to have become a bone of contention.

kind of silly thing to be a bone of contention. I don't know maybe RS wanted Prince to show his age a bit more. NOt sure why they would care where the picture came from. Maybe, the picture was just an excuse. Prince wasn't as popular or young enough anymore to sell copies and both RS and P knew it.

I have a theory that Prince basically told his sis (in his own maddeningly cryptic way) that his pain was out of control and he was dependent on pain pills but he wasn't going to stop even if it killed him (and he knew that odds were, eventually, it would). She prepared herself for the worst that month he told her thinking that P's drug addiction would take him right way..knowing nothing she said or did would get him to stop. And then he survived and kept working so she put her concerns in the back of her mind but always kept the foreboding feeling that P would eventually succumb to drugs (and maybe she tried to convince to do something else) . She also maybe would get more concerned when his behavior became eratic etc. She apparently was with him the week of his death so maybe (who knows) she tried to convince him to get help and since he agreed that week that he would finally agree to get help, she may have felt for the first time that P would be okay--- only for him to succumb to an overdose. So, in a way she was both shocked and not at all surprised. She might have been a bit relieved that the worrying was over while simultaneously beeing devastated. This is a theory so don't jump on me claiming that I don't know shit. Obviously, I don't. But Tyka is probably all over the place in her feelings (she is probably angry at him as well) and yes, the money is probably enticing right now. But the human heart is a complicated tihng.

Below is the link to the Tavis Smiley radio interview last year. He mentions that both Michael Jackson and Prince died the same way: due to pain they had pill dependence.

I read the MJ comments more as 'I knew him MJ/his people/world well' so he didn't wnat to comment, Prince and MJ had similar lives in the gold fish bowl on the 80's particularly, they moved in similar circles, so I am sure he had allot of empathy for MJ and how he struggled (not just dependancies).
I think there was also the fact that anything Prince said about MJ, would be a big news story, especially after MJ had died, it would be used and twisted against him, best not to comment, there was a reason Prince didn't do many interviews.

I could see that if the interview were done soon after MJ’s death. But 2014 I think his perspective was different. Imo

I still think Prince would not comment, just because it would cause reaction in the press and be used against him, MJ stories still sell newspapers/magazines, he also rarely talked about the past, he was always about the now and future to the press.

First she says she had been preparing for 2-years, now it's 3??
Buying jewelry for the funeral? WHO says that?
I know people are gonna say "Oh, that's just Tyka being Tyka". Nah, not a good excuse, sorry!

. I got the same impression as you did. She seems to take little digs at her late brother. A lot of people excuse her poor behavior, but I find her to be quite odd. I think Prince kept his distance from her. I linked that video/interview in my other comment. It was with the BBC.

. I agree. Also, Tyka saying "He did what he came here to do", doesn't necessarily mean he was ready or preparing to die. Words can easily be taken out of context. She also states that her and several other's knew he was going to die, and we still do not know who she is talking about. I'm so tired of her cryptic messages. If she wants to share what happened to her brother, then tell us. If not, then she should stop with these ridiculous statements that aren't helping anyone. It's not fair to the fans, and it's disrespectful to her late brother. .

I came across this interview Tyka did with the BBC, saying that she knew he was going to die. There is no visual; only audio, but I find a lot of her comments to be rather strange. . So, Prince told her when she was at McDonald's? . Again, she is being vague about a lot of things. . Tyka says she knew and a few other's knew, but yet they all sat back and did nothing about it? . https://www.youtube.com/w...&t=27s
