Honeymoon Express ~ Wendy & Lisa
This song was written/recorded while they were still with Prince & the Revolution. Possibly a lot of the songs from their 1987 album were.
I get so loney, when I think of you I get the feeling our love is never new We watched each other going many different ways
Come with me let's meet at the station Where we first started Then we made love, life in the world Seems like we are living on rainbows

I think Prince influenced a lot of the tracks on the first album, perhaps even co-wrote. As you said, it was written while they were still in the Revolution. The wooh is on the one!

Hi my peeps! I posted this for Wendy and Lisa on the anniversary of their first record. Hope you enjoy! ❤️ I’ve been reminded that Honeym...oon Express, the song I co-wrote with my sister Wendy has an anniversary this month! Wendy and I wrote it months before the release of the W&L debut record, in fact this was a track that neither Wendy, Lisa or myself would have known that in only a few months down the road would find its way onto the first W&L record.
Love and Kindness,
Susannah

I think he played guitar on something actually I believe he did work with them on the 2nd album 1988 like he did with BrownMark, but Bobby Z actually co-wrote 5 songs, and Susannah co-wrote this one.

I love that song. | |

Yeas, but it isn't that straight forward. Lots of ideas came out of jam sessions and rehearsals, and if the tracks were written while they were still in The Rev, then who knows who first came up with the ideas. The wooh is on the one!

Yeah, but they most likely would have credited him. He did play guitar on 1 or 2 songs on the 2nd album
Songs like Mountains and Power Fantastic were 'other' songs already composed by Lisa (and Wendy) outside of Prince before he heard them.

I think Prince wrote words/melody and added arrangements for M and PF. The wooh is on the one!

Yes after he heard what Lisa did, Like Power Fantastic used to be Carousel
I mean she had songs created already that he hadn't heard I suspect guys in the Time probably did too

Anyway, I think it's just as likely that Prince influenced/co-wrote songs on The first couple of W&L albums. The wooh is on the one!

I think it's their best album. The wooh is on the one!

yep so far Prince had nothing to do with it

So Prince not being involved makes it a better album? Anyway - you don't know that he wasn't involved. He probably was. As you admitted many of the songs were written during the Revolution era.

No, If you have factual information I welcome it But about THIS song, not the album. . I didn't admit anything, I said it could have been Why does it always have to turn into this I'm just appreciating this 1 song on this thread . Org member Latin has started a thread that discusses the whole album, called: Article-Testing a Dream Wendy & Lisa's Debut album. http://prince.org/msg/5/446345/

Im a big fan of W&L's solo work but I'd love to have heard Prince sing this one, it'd have fit right in with that Dream Factory vibe. There's a few on their first solo album I feel like that about, a pity really.

I rather not....it would not make them have a unique sound of their own..they wanted to branch out as well be crative in their own way after the dismemberment of The Revolution Smurf theme song-seriously how many fucking "La Las" can u fit into a dam song

I would appreciate it if when y'all guys claim that Prince played on this or co-composed that it was backed-up with facts or substantial information. When not, it's just gossip confusing people's minds, and that's just not cool. Thx. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/
