We've had countless threads where it was allowed.

But I think people are degraiding the thread from a more 'educated' view via the PO's Legacy Building vs Callous Exploitation. And looking at the difference. Not looking at a persons facebook page and attacking them for wearing purple and calling it expoitation. Which is what a lot of the stuff I've read surmounts to. And again, noticing that a lot of 'female' fans are heavily involved in going after the female protege/associate they either don't like, or feel should express their loyalty a certain way.

It is sort of easy to surmise in that because Susannah was a love interest of Prince and had items that were more 'personal or intimate' she and any other woman is going to be judged one way or another, because people are vicariously looking at is 'IF I WAS PRINCE'S LOVER I WOULD NEVER...' But no one here was.
