The song was for a play they were working on. After Prince died David revelved what the play was about. Prince told him the play was about a rock star with a female fan who stalked him and he told Davud this was loosely based on something that happened to him

But I agree that he did have sex with many women and that probably most Of those women knew that. Exactly. There's a difference between being a womanizer and a predator.

Interestingly, Prince said he wanted the poem to be "...about his relationship with a fan. Which became obsessive and weird." It is not said there is more obsession on one party's part or the other's. And he wanted it to be about lost love. Again, he didn't say who was feeling this; him or the fan - or both. I will have to listen to the song again from the perspective of it being his own feelings of loss and obsession. As with so many of his other songs, it could work either way, as I've been seeing lately.

"Told a made up story to a busy body of our only date..." lol that popped in my head after reading your comment. I just take one sided stories for what they are.. One sided.

Sorry but Mrs. White is not saying anything bad and that Honey Collective that came from Prince's own social media.
I am not sure why some of you choose to live in La La land were grown ass people do not have adult relationships.
I bet you have no trouble beliveing Mayte and her ever changing stories some of which make know sense at all.

I really don't take anybodys word for anything. I look at it as it being their perceived experience. I enjoy reading some stories that I come across. I enjoyed the parts of the book I read. I just skimmed through until she started talking about Prince. The parts that made me regret buying it was when she started to sound super bitter & petty. If someone doesn't have something nice to say about a human who's not here to defend his/herself then i'd rather that person not say anything at all. [Edited 8/9/17 7:04am]

Lolzz she called him a cheater, wishy washy, and that incident when he humiliated them by their clothes, and the fan tattoo incident. She made prince look more bad than mayte

I guess that is your interpretation. Mrs. White did not like being critized by her boss which is all he did after all they did work for him. He does get to decide what clothes they were on stage and he did not bomb them out in front of the whole crew and later he brought clothes for them which she liked.
He was not speaking to her concerning the tattoo so none of her business. He was not cheating on her so none of her business and the sisters never had a contract with him so Mrs. White quitting her job was her own bad decision and since they had no contract they knew they could be called to work at anytime or not called at all. If she knew they would not be able to work on a moment's notice they should not have got involved with him at all unless he was presenting a contract.
I notice you did not mention he hurt his leg and had to cancel the tour and Mrs. White seemed more concerned about her job status then they fact that the tour was canceled due to injury.
I noticed you did not mention the week he let the sisters stay in his home and in hotel that he paid for. Took them out on a shopping spree and paid them 5k each to sing on the Rainbow Children Album which probaly did not sell enought copies to cover what he paid them. Oh they got to be in a video with them as well.
These women literally came out of nowhere knocked on his door and got to out on the road with him. How often do you think that happens? Dude was by no means a perfect person or boss. He was a hard ass task master and obviously that mind set worked for him but will not work for everyone you chock it up to a work experience.
Considering Mrs. White decided to forgo hard work and get into the weed business I cannot take her complaining serirously.
All in all they had it good considering their naive mentality about the entertainment business.
As far as Mayte is concerned if you want to believe that women did nothing but right the whole time they were married belive what you like. [Edited 8/9/17 7:25am]

Did you not read that obsessive immature letter in the end of the book where she said " his perm is played out" or "stop wearing heels while playing basketball, we all know you're 5'2" ...I'm not a mayte fan nor did i like her book but at least she didnt call him immature name's like MRS White did...

Like I said Mikki and her husband were big weed heads so I do not take her too serious with her self rightousness.
Mayte is discussing their child's death and making money off it and no matter what Prince did he never talked about the child's death to sell a project. It is beneth comtempt.

I love it too...it tears my heart out....
same way that somebodies somebody does...
Lonliness is something that everyone experiences at some time in their lives..
Prince IMO was lonely his whole life long becasue despite being surrounded by many, he was on his own.. no one was like him, could meet him as an equal or fully understood him either...
I think that its only NOW we are getting some kind of real understanding of who he is
