Thank you so much for posting this Latin! This was a joy to read. I almost cried when I read the part of how Andre Cymone was invited to Paisley Park to listen to the baby's heartbeat...ok I lied I did cry because he described how excited Prince was about his baby . The part about how when they were growing up Morris Day did not dance at parties was funny too!

This is really shares much of the reality of life's journey. Andre captured what I seem to gather from so many who knew him back-in-the-day.
I realized that guy, that kid that I knew, that guy's gone. And we had, obviously an extreme bond and it starts to hit you. We go through our lives and everybody grows in different ways and that person that you knew at that one point isn't that person anymore or that person you knew at a different point has changed and morphed into this other person. It just so happens in my case he morphed into this mega rock star.
Prince they knew was gone as happens to everyone as Andre said overtime, that comes with living life but in this case for some reason it resonates because of the loss. There is something about those who knew you when - they will never have those moments again. Death is just so permanent it steals so much from those left behind.
