So I read this book and two things really stuck out.

1) Mrs. White and her sisters did some singing on the Rainbow Children and You Make My Sunshine.

The sisters had a gig in Minneapolis for the All Star game and the gig was cancelled they decided to go up to Minneapolis to see if they might run into Prince or someone who knew him.

They went to Paisley Park and just knocked on the door and were invited in and had a chance to hang out and actually perform that day for a party he was having. They stayed all night and he then let them stay at this house. Two of the sisters stayed in his bedroom.

He left them in his house and found a hotel for them. He then paid for a shopping spree for all of them. They finally got around to signing on some songs and he paid them 5k each.

I was amazed that he would just let some strange chicks into his studio and home. I thought is was much too trusting.

2) Mrs. White and her sisters went out on tour with Prince but the tour was cut short because she said Prince was told by a doctor to not do the splits or any dancing and he reinjured his leg. Which means he had injured it from an earlier time. Mrs. White said the rest of the tour was cancelled and his staff told her Prince needed a operation and the next time she saw Prince he was walking with a cane.

Looking at Prince Vault this is the canceled "Celebration tour"

Do you recommend the book?

Not really. I just put the two most important parts of the book on the org. Mikki spends a lot of time complaining about the music industry in general and apparently had some unrealistic ideas about the industry. She would also later get into trouble with her husband for selling weed so listening to her self-rightousness can be a bit much.

I forgot to mention that she said M2 was nice when P was around and quite fake when he was not and that Prince would send M2 to Toronto and he had a few young ladies hanging around when she was gone so trouble with that marriage was going to happen right from the beginning

She got into a lot of trouble with that drug dealing. Apparently, it was just laying everywhere in their house and there was quite a bit of it. She was a school principal I believe before she got caught.

Do you believe she was in the know-how like she says or making some assumptions based on what she saw from a distance. Do you believe that he just let her and her sisters just move into his house and they were privy to that much private info. He was rather private, was he not? It sounds like reasonable assumptions were made at times, but assumptions nonetheless.

So they performed with him on the Hit N Run Tour (end of June 2001) and he started touring again in March 2002. The rumors of hip surgery (confirmed by the autopsy scar?) took place in 2004 didn't it? He took all of 2005 off although he did perform in some concerts but did no tours.

I am not sure if they were married at the time she kept refering to her as his girlfriend so I assume that is how Prince introduced her. They might have been engaged but she said he let two of them sleep in his bed and the other two sisters went to another guest room.

He went to another guest room telling them he needed to leave before he got into trouble.

Not surprising at all. In the song "Love" from 3121 album he comes right out and says that she smiles at his friends but really hates them.

Prince was hitting it with other women almost right up to their wedding. I remember one story, and I might have some details wrong, so if someone remembers this, correct me. The gist was that Prince was seen parading women into the bar/club of a hotel in Hawaii just two weeks before the wedding. Mani was alerted on her way up to her room by a couple in the elevator who had just seen him. She seemed indifferent about the whole thing.

In Sheila E's book she said he told her he was going to have sex everyday he just wanted to have open relationships. The people who did the conference on him in England a few months ago reached out to Bria who told them she broke up with him because he was not serious about being a JW if he was always running around he was struggling with being a Christian.

It was not newsflash but then why bother getting married? Business deal? Cleaned up mage in exchange for lavish stepford wife lifestyle (true golddigger style)? Perhaps when it came to marriage, love had nothing to do with it. IDK.

Interesting info from the conference. Prince and Bria's relationship seemed like a mystery and then poof she disappeared one day. Next thing you know she's getting married. Some thought they were really together and others didn't.

It is sad but he could do that; it appears as if he did not surround himself with authentic people.
