And I do go back and forth on this pic:
But Marc Anthony?...Nope...He doesn't look like P to me...

Naw, that wasn't the picture and it was Mark and it was only a couple of months ago I know because it was my post. I remember because we were talking about Mark like a dog for even daring to portray Prince in a doc for the UK. According to the people across the pond it was terrible too. Then he shows up in these REELZ re-enactments. Personally I got over it because he does favor Prince at a glance and he does have a delicate-ness about him but that's about it. Most of these others I could spot them a mile away. And some ain't even pretty. But I still say the prettiest ones you all post about tend to be the most tragic though. What's up with that?

That Mark Anthony guy does my head in. Cannot take him seriously.
I take him seriously. He's worked really hard at getting the mannerisms down and he did an excellent job in that documentary that came out recently. I give him such props for working hard and not appearing clownish. In the beginning - 20 years ago- he seemed silly - but it's obvious he's doing his best at getting better and he has. He can't sing, no, but as far as looking a bit like Prince for documentarys or whatever- he's about as close as you can get.
You think? I'm sorry, he does appear clownish to me. Very silly indeed. |

I get what you're saying- no one can ever come close to Prince- it's kind of like that guy that just did the MJ movie (I forget his name) He's way bigger than MJ but he got the likeness down. I think Marc Anthony comes about as close as you can get (not at performing) but in mauk Prince interviews or documentaries or whatever. Just my opinion. |
