Video: Vanity 6 - Nasty Girl (ultimate remaster) Check out the video of "Nasty Girl" by Vanity 6 (ultimate remaster). "This is the only 100% complete, clean, title-free, properly remastered version of this clip on YouTube, and from a digital source not VHS tape. The audio track to this video has never been released on CD - it is much longer than the censored single version (which was only 2:51) and shorter than the album version (which is 5:16). Stereomusicvideo with yet another world first..." Here it is: https://m.youtube.com/wat...2awcfsL_Uc

Thank you Latin! This brings back memories of me and my sisters taking turns in front of a mirror with our hair brushes lipsyncing to the music! Vanity had all the little girls in the neighborhood wanting her look and style of dress and this way before Madonna.

I think every little girl I know had the round hair brushes for microphones.
Sirius XM Studio 54 channel had it on my way to work the other morning. I was so glad to be sans-kids that day. Had the windows too.

Love the 3 of them!! So campy and the music; that gets everyone on the floor everytime!
It makes me it is iconic.
Those 3 ladies were doing it before Madonna was ever breathed on the public's mind.
Vanity was just perfect. Here it goes - the cliche
She was so beautiful. Stunning.
That is all.

Yes but she has said many times she was sick of people in her face telling her how beautiful she was all the time. However she was truly exceptionally beautiful.
Back when she was out it was different than now; she was an original.

Some years ago I had some friends who have dedicated their lives to Christ meet her in Niceville FL. They had no idea who she was they just know her as an evangelist. She still was beautiful (physically) but it was who she was on the inside that is where the true beauty was! She had a wonderful sense of humor and my goodness was so witty! She was very charismatic and often it was said she would give the shirt off her back if she could. You could not help but fall in love with her. All these years I have wondered if this is why Prince kept his distance from her? It appears she had the same "it" factor that he had. Did he think he could fall for her all over again?

I love hearing stories of her as an Evangelist. I can only find a few video of her preaching and a few podcasts/radio interviews.
I agree true beauty is inside. It seems as if that was where her true beauty was- within.

Wow, that was beautiful to hear.. Just look at her interviews and you can see how her personality stands out. You become enthralled just by listening to her talk. She's naturally engaging. I think that's what Prince meant when he said in an interview, something along the lines of "Have you ever heard Vanity talk?" He knew about that charisma she had.

Sometimes it is easy to forget why she became such a media darling on Johnny /carson, Letterman, Merv Griffin and other mainstream shows. She was a celebrity in her own right. I am not knocking the other protoges but not one of them, save for Carmen Electra, parlayed time with Prince as a true jump start and totally moved on.
I think this is why I like Vanity better than all of them. She made no career our of being with Prince - She did her thing.
This video was sweet reminder of her swag, charisma, amazing beauty and talent as a front woman. The campiness of it all the 3 of them were just perfect. I love it.

Exactly! Vanity 6 was the bomb and even though she was not in Purple Rain she went on to star in another cult favorite in the black community The Last Dragon. Either way this girl was going to be remembered! Still remember watching that movie at the drive in and how everybody stopped and starred at Vanity (ok shouts out to Taimak too-he still looking good)! No one was trying to get popcorn or going to the bathroom when she was on!
