Who said this because Prince all of sudden sure has a lot of friends none of whom were working as engineers at Paisley or seen around. I did some Goggling on his and only found info about him from NYC. I think he is a friend of a certian lawyer or Sharon who up until recently lived in NY.

All of the info I have is factual. Many people on this board do not take the time to read the court docs which are a matter of public record. It does not take 20 hours to read a court doc.

. Yes but Prince was not working with him anymore, so not sure why his family would involve him in the estate.

. Londell McMillan (entertainment lawyer), was Prince's manager for many years and helped him with his battle against WB to gain the rights to his music.

Oh, Okay! I thought it was a family member that I hadn't heard of-- thank you, cloveringold85, for clearing that up

The ex-associates, siblings, lawyers, sister-wives, has-beens and never-was, etc. are all jockeying for position because they feel they have a stake in what transpires. None of us here have any such reason to be that invested in the outcome of the proceedings. Therefore it is inappropriate to get too deeply involved and go to extremes in over analyzing other people's affairs at this late date.
Yourself and OperatingThetan derailed the thread in order to shit on Londell, which is silly because it still has not been proven by the OP that this album is an estate release in the first place. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

databank said: I'm not sure what's wrong with some of the people here: what's this whole thing? Bitching about people we've never met and passing judgements on their assumed motives? . All I see here is a woman who salvaged her deceased father's long lost compositions, het father also being the father of one of the most influencial musicians of our times, and recording the project in a studio that belonged to her deceased brother, who also was the composers' son? Wehew, what a sin! . Actually I'm quite grateful: I've wanted to hear John L's work for years, and I feared nothing was left of it at all beyond the EP and his few works with Prince. . As for the comment regarding why bother since she won't make money...? How sad really, if one can't honor their deceased parents without having money in mind. Have we sank that low that everything we do has to be motivated by profit? . And I'll end by adding that: wouldn't it be nice if, at some point, some estate people came to talk with us the fans to discuss what it is they should release and how? Maybe they wouldn't anyway, maybe they don't care. But if they do, and come here, and read all that bitching, I don't think they will ever talk to us anyway. . By all means please don't start bitching at me or trolling me, I won't reply to any such provokation. I just wanted to say how sad I feel this is (and it's not the first time I'm saddened by a moblynching on this board). Thank you,. Also is this considered a release of the estate of Prince? Is it being released by NPG Records? I couldn’t find any copyright information on Tidal, Paisley Park is in your heart

. No problem. This is why Prince's siblings are using Londell as a consultant, because he knew Prince for a long time and was familiar with managing his music.

It’s wrong to call it that if we don’t know for sure as it just gets people upset for possibly no reason. Of course I’ll probably be branded a Londell McMillan supporter for saying that. Paisley Park is in your heart

. Prince was a quirky kinda guy! I mean, he could change his mind in a New York minute! If someone did anything that he did not agree with, he would simply not want to work with them anymore. He became very paranoid with contracts and didn't like them. Can you blame him, for all the bad experiences he had with WB and with two divorces and lawyers picking him for this and for that? . I'm sure Prince had a very good reason why he didn't want to work with Londell anymore. People change, and maybe he didn't feel Londell had his best interest at heart? Seeing what is playing out in the courts now with his estate and the shady things Londell is doing, I can certainly see why Prince didn't want to work with him anymore. I wonder if his siblings will continue to use his services much longer after this fiasco!!

What shady things is he doing? It appears that the siblings know more about him and what he was able to accomplish for Prince during all those years and feel he's best.

It's clear from Londell's twitter that he's behind this release and is promoting it. I only hope he's now kept as far away from Prince's music and legacy as possible. I don't give a shit what he did in '96, his intention to keep his fee following the failed UMG deal (which he screwed up) is all I need know about his character.

Londell is a business advisor to SNJ this is a SNJ Project. Does that make it clear enough for you? We know he is involved and it does not take not hours of reading court docs to figure this out. A simple Goggle search will tell you that Spicer, Londell, SNJ and Fourth quarter entertainment are all working together on this project.

Londell is no longer representing the estate, remember???--I am not the OP. I know that Londell represents SNJ and I know this is their project. A simple internet search ties all the people I mentioned together and a certain poster in this very topic is from Fourth Quarter Entainment which has ties to Londell. After everything that has come out today you still do not see what is going on. [Edited 7/14/17 19:12pm]

Extra, Extra, read all about it, "The Estate has nothing to do with the release. The recent news introducing the project noted that Sharon is releasing the album in honor of her father independently via her own label Maken It Music. From the looks of it the single itself is becoming critically acclaimed based on great reviews, Kudos to her.

See straight from his mouth and now to your ears, "His music. . .one day I hope you’ ll get to hear it." We did hear it. His Dad had music out back in 94. This is a useless project while fans wait with money in hand for Prince's material which some of the sibs have inadvertently caused a delay. This is the point that you seem to be missing because you and a few others have your fingers in the pie. I want to hear the last Atlanta show that Prince was going to put out because right now the bootleggers have it out and there is no reason for that occurring they know they can make money and people will buy it. Prince left a business structure in place and a rack of material that is owned by the estate pick up were Prince left off and keep going forward not backward. I said it before but I honestly think he was found on a doorstep. [Edited 7/18/17 4:43am]
