Well, this is good because now we can "frankenstein-ezed" an alternate version.

Good stuff, to my ears it sounds like these were instrumentals and Jill 'recently' added her vocals to it. Her voice sounds too mature to me to be Jill vocals from back when these were recorded.

Love Jill immensely, always thought she was one of the most vocally talented of the associated artists.

Well I much prefer Our Destiny with Jill Jones' vocal on it.

Haha. The sound quality on the version of "Our Destiny" is considerably better than on the version WB put out.

I was asking this simply because if it is on par quality as what we have there is the real chance now to compile an early configuration of "Purple Rain" (it is the only track missing).

Only for historical reason, not to be anal.

These are great. Thanks Jill. It's extremely poor form that she wasn't credited on the Purple Rain reissue.

'Poor form' is how this industry operates unfortunately.

It looks like Jill hasn't been credited for her BV's on We Can Fuck. It seems they might have mis-credited them to W&L who aren't on this version.

Let's be honest, the Prince music world is full of miscredits, or, no credits, especially in the early days. I am sure they were not sticking it to Jill on purpose, it's probably a matter that there was simply no record of her contributions.

These are great to hear. Killing at the Soda Shop is cracking me up -- what is the story behind this?

Jill's vocals are far better on Our Destiny. The lryics are much clearer.
