I Will is a particularly moving song, likewise Bring You Back. As I say, the whole project is steeped in melancholy but has such spirit and courage. It's a terrifically wonderful collection.

Do you think? Could be...but wouldn't it be odd to have such a song on what is otherwise a very personal album?

I've always thought "Song About" is such a lament for the end of The Revolution, from Wendy & Lisa.

Around this time, Prince started talking much more with Lisa & Wendy & Susannah etc

and from 1997-1998 he talked a lot about them complimentary in interviews and most likely if Prince's child did not pass away and his marriage not end, 1999 would have been the year Prince & the Revolution came back together and Roadhouse Garden released.
Even in his 1998 video the One he had hidden messages...
