Scientific evidence of what? The obvious low chances on an intervening omnipresence of an omnipotent being? Or that someone can delude/ convert themselves in/ out of same-sex attraction? Surely you can Google these things? Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

So can you. I do plenty of googling but you are the one complaining. You simply cannot speak for everyone's experience.

I think of sexuality being like a scale--some people tip more one direction than another. Being born with one inclination over the other really is not the point. Sexuality is not a sin, period, no matter which way you are inclined (or if you reside some grey area... like bisexuals do.) as long as it is consenting adults, who cares? Plus, using religion to make the distinction between between acceptable sexuality and unacceptable sexuality is illogical and not based on history. The Hebrews were against homosexuality because they needed to procreate to increase their numbers (strength in numbers). God was supposedly against Sodom and Gommorah because of hedonism (homosexuality wrongly was considered to be an example of hedonism). But I always took the lesson of that story to avoid rampant promiscuity/hedonism. We have an over-population problem now, so I wonder why people don't think a rise in homosexualtiy might be God's way of insuring that overpopulation doesn't wipe us out. (no I am against artificial insemination or gay's adopting)>
The he-was-born-that-way belief is fine but I don't think it applies to all. Some people do experiment; some people have a fluid and varied sexuality. But either way, its nobody's business but the people involved.

I agree. I think the "why" question is basically irrelevant and some people choose different ways to identify themselves over the course of their lives. The main point for me is however people identify and live on in the hetero/homo-spectrum is fine and is not morally better or worse than any other way of identifying in that spectrum. - What Miko posted is crap (why should a person have to "overcome" their sexuality to have relationship with God?) and claiming that it's "just asking a question" and that people should be "open-minded" enough to consider is the same to me as someon posting something that "explores the idea" that God made white people the "supreme race" and then saying someone is closed-minded because they reject that idea. No one is required to be "open minded" to bigoted lies.

Someone who experiments, is still what they are. They readily go continue with their natural sexual orientation.
A bisexual person is just that a bisexual person. That is not the gray area. The gray area is all the moral/family/society/religious pressures that trip people up.

I remember Miko crying on his fb page that no one called him after Prince died etc etc blah blah blah
but it was Miko that disappeared for a long time. And it was Miko that never reached out to anyone.

Dude I do not really give a shit. I have more pressing things to do with my time then worry about what other people are doing in their bedroom but at the same time people are free to think and hold the opinions they want. As long as your civil and human rights are not being violated who cares what people think. I am tired of hearing about it.
I do not give a shit if some fool is wearing a klan hat and buring a cross on his property. See my parents taught me that everybody's not going to like me and that is just the way it is going to be.
Get your panties out of a bunch and move on with your life.

Miko and Prince almost got into a fist fight so I seriously doubt if P was in touch with him. Oh and the fight was over Miko making off with the women at the aftershows.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
the fight was about Miko's guitar being too loud during a rehearsal.
this has been talked about many times before
A: So what was the reason you left ... I saw a video of a rehearsal some time ago where you got into a fight with Prince. He seemed pretty upset, stamped his feet with his high-heel and then walked off. Mico: You've seen that video tape? So what did I do?
You know I took it personal back then and he was still under this thing so I just said: 'Okay see ya!' But I was just going to go to the office and he followed me around all the way to the door and he said 'Get out' and I said: 'Okay' and I left. He said 'leave' but it was not the kinda 'leave permanently, forever' ... [Later] He came to the club and we talked about it and he explained to me that because he was doing "Graffiti Bridge" at this time, there's a lot of pressure, and the only person that subconsciously he felt could take the pressure was me. I'd already been with him, I knew him, 'cause you don't get to be with somebody like him for so long if you don't know how!
Mico: No I left on my own not because of him and I don't know if I feel good when I now say that it was because of the other band members. It was like: Prince -- The Band -- and Me. Me and him was cool but me with the band? Because I'm Miko one hundred per cent, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week always, never changing. But they -- when Prince came into the room it was like 'Okay -- lights, camera, action', a whole new personality came out and they weren't true to themselves. That's basically why I left.

Well U did post in this thread, so you obviously give a shit. You made about 6-7 post in this thread.
Of course everyone is not going to like you or anyone else for that matter. But how we talk to people makes a huge difference in being liked or not as well.

I just mean that some people aren't gay or straight. Some people are bisexual with more tendencies toward one gender or the other. Some people prefer sex with females but relationships with males. Some men like women to wear strap-ons and do them in the behind but have no interest in ever having sex with an actual man. Some transgender people still want to have sex with their same gender after they transition. Some don't. Some men will give it out to other men but won't take it. I am just saying that labels are not always needed--otherwise we would have a billion labels.
the reason I sometimes have concerns over the "he-was-born-with-it" label is that it doesn't allow for shifting identities or preferences. It's like saying that people shouldn't be allowed to conduct themselves sexually anyway they see fit unless they are 'born' with it and somehow can't help it. I say let people be what they want to be (even if an inclination isn't strongly ingrained in them at birth) and don't oppress those who sexual preferences or conduct is not your own. (I don't mean 'you' specifically.) Yes, I think people are born with inclinations (like I said they tip more one direction on the scale than others.) I understand the need to say that people can't help being born gay so stop discriminating. (and at birth, a lot people probably do have rather definitive sexual orientations) But my view is that even if people were'nt born that way in a really obvious way, people shouldn't use their chosen sexuality to discriminate against them. Whe I say 'chosen', i mean they chose to follow their natural urges or inclinations.
We might be agreeing with each other but we are just disagreeing on semantics in a way. My point is that sexual fluidity is natural and born in all of us. Its just a matter of degree and tipping much more toward one end of the spectrum or the other.

He didn't say shit. He said nothing, that is why I asked 'generally' if this was something he believed or something he put up for discussion, or reaction, because hed does that.
He is being passive by posting something and not adding his thought to it.

That is what being bisexual is. the continuum is not the same for everyone. Yes we are probably saying the same thing in some ways. And men who like strap on sex are bisexual (not heterosexual) that kind of stuff is a sign of internalized homophobia. And a disrespect to women. A women doesn't have a penis, women are not penetrators. A dick, plastic metal wood or imaginary is still a dick and men have dicks, women don't. . Transgendered is not comparable to bisexual, in my opinion. I think it has be seperately looked at from 'homosexual' issues. And the lumping of the two together is probably one reason people think a 'gay' man wants to be a woman. . Identity or labels usually don't have anything to do with biology. Black White Gay Straight tend to be socially-political identities.
