Is it me or does it seem Prince had more candid photos with Mani than Mayte? Not an issue, just interesting.

I wonder if and when her book will come out?

I've thought the exact same thing. Whatever caused their relationship to go south they did appear genuinely happy together for a time.

Probably because Mani was with Prince in non stop photos from videos tours and photoshoots from being in the band. There are many others with them at parties in Europe, fashion shows, with other celebs etc.

Mani wasn't in the band so the pictures would be much different.

Absolutely, that's how I would describe the look on his face.

I wonder how old Eric feels about this post...and all the previous posts that seem a bit initmate to be from a married, mother of two, ex-wife?

It is a mystery of what happend in that marriage. He seemed happy with her and you do not want to think he was that self-destructive that he ruin a good thing.

Okay before all the Manuela hate begins, I want to say a few things.

1.) People are complicated with multiple and contrasting characteristics within them, and their motivations are often varied and multi-faceted as well. Maybe she partly posted this in order to be remembered as part of the narrative about Prince, to counter Mayte's assertion that Prince is/was her husband. But that picture is truely lovely, warm and rare, and she was completely respectful of Prince's aversion to birthdays (even seeming to apologize for celebrating it) and she seemed to be able to back up what the picture was about.

2.) Maybe, highlighting and honoring the good times is all we have. In other words, when people are truely able to find moments of warmth and connection and when insecurities, self-interest, distrust, ambition, and miscommunication melt away and people just jell with one another--its all good.

Human beings are a hot mess..but they are also capable of wonderous moments.

IN OTHER WORDS---I LOVE THE PICTURE> THANKS MANUELA> and no its not a bad thing to honor an ex-husband who died unnecessarily and alone. It doesn't mean she doesn't love her current husband. Love comes in different shapes, sizes, and forms. It can be tainted and even a bit ill-conceived but it doesn't mean its not there. Love is whatever you want it to be as Prince said in the song "Love". Maybe, Manuela is just acknowledging that by honoring a fallen man..

I see what you mean and I agree. I wonder if Mayte has any? I don't see her posting any. Maybe she had so little say-so that she had none? Or P wasn't into personal photography so much yet. One thing though...I do wish Manuela would be direct - just once. There's always some lack of transparency, i.e. hinting that Prince said something to her to make her laugh, but not saying what. There always seems to have to be some attempt to cause a mystery with this one. Only Prince can make mystery attractive.

Pictures of Prince is always a win-win in my book. The more the merrier. I've already got two photo books pre-ordered

Me too! That is a book I would buy and have on my coffee table Every time she posts one of these personal pics (which her current husband "hearted" btw on Instagram) I think it's a lead up to the coffee table book...

Thank you! It takes time to realize a relationship grows apart with circumstances of life.

There are many candid photos with other women as well. Just look at Prince and Andy Allo for example.

M2 didnt celebrate either when she converted to JW and then quickly left after the divorce.

This ex is a slick one.

M1 and M2 need to quit.

Both are desperate for attention.

There is a reason he left both these women behind and didnt look back.

After reading these statements, it reminded me of a response "keepinitreal" posted about Prince and Mani looking so happy in the photo of them at the basketball game. (way back in 2004)

I don't know for sure who 'Keepinitreal' was for sure, but IMHO, it sounds like it's the Purple One himself. This is what he said on coments about judging the happiness of a couple by a photo:
