Great album and the B-sides were good too, 77 Bleeker St and Baby Cries (Ay Yah). The extended version of For Love is my favorite...I gotta' go feed the dog!

Though I don't love all the tracks, some of them are SO strong (Mia Boca / Baby You're a Trip) that it's my favourite associate album.

.

Baby You're a Trip in particular is a hidden bit of genius - surely it could have been a chart hit?

.

Not sure I totally follow the argument that was on another thread about Prince sitting on this album for too long, and so it sounding dated when it was finally released, and that contributing to it not performing better. G-Spot maybe sounds a bit early 80s, but the other tracks?

.

Had no idea For Love was a single / remix till now - thanks for sharing Latin

My favourite track is Mia Bocca and the video 4 the song is really good. How did Prince get away with some of the lyrics? -'I have only had one lover since I was 12 years old'!! You would never be able 2 get away with that in todays politically correct world.

I just wish Prince woulda released during or slightly after the Movie (Purple Rain)!! Album woulda took OFF!!!

cool

I agree.Imagine if this album had been completed and released in early 1985.Jill would have been able to benefit from the Purple Rain momentum.

yeah, that is a very provocative lyric biggrin and the song's overall message is very nasty,if I'm understanding it correctly.Doesn't mia bocca mean "my mouth"?

I like most of the album but not all. I just haven't gained the appreciation for this. I keep listening hoping one day I will.

Beautiful, Loved and Blessed

Thank You Prince
