Something I noticed in that article. Prince enrolled her in expensive rehab and gave her car but it didn't help. He even offered to help with her music career. Not his responsibility to help her beyond that. No one helped him. I am glad they reconciled and I am proud of her for getting better. But he didn't turn his back on her until she turned her back on his original help.

Also, another thing I noticed about many people revolving around Prince. If they don't make it in music, they wait around for Prince to help them financially. Good grief...how about a different line of work????

Actually she did go to rehab again and he actually took her to himself. She said he would call her and encourage her and he even came to visit her and went to the threphy sessions with her.

I do not think she was doing anything with music at all for years so I do not think her problems were due to failed music carreer. I think her and Prince came from a bad family stituation and he just had music to give his some goals or stability.

It is the main reason I do not believe he was a recreational drug user. I think music was his drug.

That's not true. He didn't beat his health problems, but my heart tells me people tried to help him over the years................. but his intelligence, his drive, his work-ethic all worked against him, I feel, in this situation.

YOu have no proof that he turned down any help. All I know is that his right hand man left him alone with bushels of pills less than a week after he overdosed. All i know is that his sister claims to have known he was going to die two years ago. A couple people wishing him well on twitter is not help. HElp means standing up to him, risking your job. We have discussed this before but one of his ex-sound engineers stated on twitter while defending KJ that he himself would have his name on the prescription pills because P's personality was so strong. But really Prince was just a short, mortal, physically harmless man who was ill. Other than deny employment and money, what was he going to do to anyone???

Also, we do know that he was alone and there were pills all over his house. We do know what his sister said. Pills were in the damn laundry room according to warrants. This isn't stuff I heard. I read his his sound engineers cracks on his own twitter page myself. Disgusting justification for enabling. KJ called the doctor but he might have done it at P's request. He sure wasn't picking all the pills out of the fucking house.

And yes, Prince was small, not particularly physically strong, weak and not prone to physical violence or revenge. cutting people off was his speed.

It's obvious that Prince tried to help his lil' Sis. He supported her, financially and got her the help she needed. I'm sure they had their quarrels, like most siblings do, but they overcame a lot of obstacles. I don't know if they were ever really close again. She hurt Prince when she published that story in the NE in 2003, and said Prince turned his back on her. She did say she suffered from low self-esteem and Prince would try to help her to feel better about herself through her music and creativity. It seems they made amends later on though.
