Prince was human which mean he was not perfection however, there is a thing called integrity and care. AS a fan and human being I feel like he is being violated because he cannot defend himself and the time of year to ceilbrate him are all about heresy and insinuations from an ex-wife who is riding his coatails.

What he wanted in some ways was not always what he needed. Now, no one is going to agree about what the man needed or what his legacy needs. But people should attempt to keep his legacy and best interests at heart. So how does Mayte's book do that?

The book doesn't have a bad message necessarily...it could easily be a cautionary tale about possessiveness and religious zealousness or a coming-of-age story about Mayte's realizing a rock star's emotional limitation and weakneess... Fine. But to advertise it as an honor to him is misleading and badly timed considering the celebration at the anniversary of his death coming up. Yes, there may not be a perfect time to release a book like this. But there is certainly a horrible time...and that would be right after he died and two weeks before the anniversary of his death.

I don't know Mayte to defend her or to critique her. I've said all I'm going to say on the matter, because to be honest, it's too tiring and depressing reading about all of this. For myself, I'm going to put my focus where it needs to be, and that is on his music. Things only have the power that we give to them, by the amount of concentration we give to it. That was something Prince taught me. And that is something that I choose to do now. For those that want to only focus on hearsay (heresy relates to religion; hearsay relates to information that is heard by one person about another person), then that is what they will give their time and attention to and will allow it to take away from their celebration of who the man was to them. Prince's legacy is alive and well in my home and I will honor that.

M1 has to be able to handle peeps who will not support her book. She is the one who needs to be mature and handle her business. She needs to accept the fact that she is Prince's 1st ex wife. Well again it is not about jealousy, and they are free to hate the book or an idea of a book that seriously has nothing to do with them or their time around him. Organizing Facebook pages is a little petty one thing to not like it or hate it, but to organize groups and then post pics etc..Again that is the impression I always got from Jill is that she will say what she wants, and more power to her everyone involved has the RIGHT to say what they want or not. And not sure what the point is that she is talented and has a talented daughter? what is that relevant too?

People can dispute all they want and many were disputing this book while the ink was still wet. A lot are disputing things and they were not even there. I think Mayte has handled it her way, she knew people would be ok and people would not, it was the same way when she was on his arm. I heard all the hate and saw it first hand that she got from many just for being "the girl" "the wife" "the dancer" that no other "prince chick got".

One of the thing I have done since PRINCE's death is try to remain in the Prince world the family he left behind, and ignore all this. I know Prince was not perfect and I know that many thought he was, so I now I have been getting more into the artists that were around him at the end, the Shelby's and Andy's and Judith's etc...because I see more of his influence there than in the others from earlier times.

Maybe he did not want the divorce so as not to appear as violating her JW's faith while driving M2 to do it herself after seeing the end of their marriage coming. She might have thought the fans would think Prince was still in love with me because I was who divorced.

They have documented facts showing the where the money goes to her non profit

They video showing M1 complaining of not getting money from Prince for Gia. *crickets* she adopted her after she and Prince were done.

Apples will forever be tied to Prince due to playing the role of Vanity in Purple Rain. Apples is iconic. ICONIC yep , like it or not due to the movie. The academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences invited her to be on the panel for Purple Rain. I have provided the link. Apples has NO and I mean NO reason to be jealous of M1.

The BET tribute was great and noone is dissing that but all of the ladies you are shading are not jealous women. They cannot like a book. They moreso than the likes of me who never knew Prince and he probably would have never given me time of day but these ladies- THEY are all noted in their own right and seriously thinking they would envy a woman Prince walked away from and never looked back. As I said , M1 is not the woman to envy.

Maybe he did not want the divorce so as not to appear as violating her JW's faith while driving M2 to do it herself after seeing the end of their marriage coming. She might have thought the fans would think Prince was still in love with me because I was who divorced.

She very much acts as a window to him and not his divorced wife.

Prince left no widows but these "sister-wives" all have great memories of their love/romance with him. He was a true ladies man. So many women in love with one man. It makes me think of UTCM
