Maybe he did, maybe he didn't who knows, but that face is pretty standard guitar solo face. Watch other performances by other stellar guitar players, maybe they are all chizzing themselves, or maybe they are feeling the music in their face, it is a pretty expressive body part...

Yes, I know it's a standard face they make, That's why I didn't catch on at first.

I think Stallone freaking out probably had less to do with Prince being black and more to do with simple , good ol´fashioned jealousy.

Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn are not known to be racist, and yet they had a problem with Prince, too, because he was with Madonna and Kim Basinger (their wives, or ex-wives). wink

Yep. Those men KNEW how good Prince was in the same way women know which other women are a threat to them. And it's not Prince's fault either.

Sean Penn supposedly punched a hole in a wall and made Prince come to spackle and patch it up (?), lol.
And Alec Baldwin must've watched the "Scandalous" vid and known how sensual our Prince was.

Sean might've punched a hole in a wall...and P migt've PAID to have a hole in a wall spackled and patched...BUT...nobody made P do anything...

I thought about that, too. But assuming he didn't care (Vanity did say he was completely uninhibited, both in and out of the bedroom), then there certainly was opportunity. He "dressed right" and went commando. That much we know because he showed us. And the solid guitar body hangs to the right so, yeah, it's possible. The only man who ever wore his guitars out from the front *and* the back. lol eek

The very thought that P could accomplish that to full completion without touching himself, simply from the sound of the music, and possibly the act of performing the music, is astounding to me.

And also has to be extraordinarily rare, don't you think?

Which explains alot to me about him constantly being in a loop of making music and why his music was so sexual in focus and so sensual in nature...makes sense if you think about it simply being like a teenaged boy discovering masturbation and doing it every change he gets.

eek

The body of a guitar (even electric) vibrates.

And music performance does cause some pretty similar brain chemistry to sex. The whole post-concert groupie stereotype - I'll just say that as a classical performer, I also could've used some groupies after concerts .... and I'm female, so it's not just a guy/penis thing.

And doesn't he sing about loving his guitar? The songs Guitar and Come on? I love you baby but not like i love my guitar! ... better off sleeping with my guitar, makin love to the strings.

This thread is so funny, I think i reread it sometimes for a laugh after the seriousness of some of the others!

I don't play an instrument so I didn't know that, but for years when asked about P in concert I have described leaving a P concert and feeling as if I'd been "ridden hard and put away wet". No. Seriously. Usedta piss of my ex-husband.

Luciano Pavirotti and P both hit a specific note (I know it by sound but not by the musical note name) and that note affects me the exact same way. I thought it was my imagination.

Ugh after reading this i can't help but feel that I violated P's privacy. Talking about his dingaling and all. This Devin chick had no class at all for mentioning that.

I'm still at the part where Sylvester Stallone met Jennifer Flavin.

It's not a long book, but kinda slow.

Prince once claimed that playing electric guitar was the reason why he still had a full head of hair.

She does not go into any deep detail and it is good to have someone saying he was kind, loving and about getting the job done.
