Laura, that nearly had me choke on my damned coffee!
The Purple Plantation...I can't.
Jill Jones said they were Plantation Mistresses so I just put them all on the Purple plantation. 😀
Well, that was priceless!
I just called them the Purple Harem in another thread.

After being stationedin the UK (via US Air Force) and seeing how their media gets down I can tell you this was tame. The British tend to get straight to the heart of the matter. I think Mayte handled herself well and did not malign Prince. I also brought the book and read it and she was very careful with him. I learned more about Mayte's background and I do not regret buying the book. |

This is awful, absolutely awful. But british rags are notorious for this. Remember all the Aids headlines right after his death and the drug addict narrative? Also, that american magazine with the actor dressed as Prince (in ragged jeans, no less!) colapsed inside the elevator? Was Mayte responsibile for that also? Tabloids post seedy and dirty headlines. They couldn't care less.
Mayte was not responsible for those headlines. We are simply pointing out the headlines that are being generated as a direct result of the book. Of course tabloids will take the sensational angle, its what they do. When Mayte publishes things like how P asked her to flush pills down the toilet, are you telling me she had no idea the headlines that would ensue? When she says Prince burned their childs ashes..she had no idea the tabloids would have a field day? She is not responsible for newspaper editors decisions but she has given them them the ingredients and let them make the cake, to use a simple analogy!
They would have found the ingredients no matter what. |

That guy was trying to be a "hard hitting reporter". Have several seats sir, your show is the equivalent to Good Morning America.
Mayte needs to practice what she wants to say so she doesn't fumble around answering questions.
I was 16 when we met. My Mom and sister were present.
We became pen pals and wrote and called as I went to school and worked all over the world as a professional dancer.
At 17, I was invited to WORK for him and he BREIFLY became my legal guardian so I could travel with the BAND to WORK.
I toured with the band as a professional dancer and we were FREINDS for quite awhile.
I saw some things that now may have been questionable, but I can honestly say that I never saw him take drugs.
Yes, he had lotsa girlfreinds, but I already knew that.
Yes, our baby was born medically fragile and we were devastated that he didn't survive long.
I wouldn't even bring up Manuela. This isn't her story. Let her write her own damned book.
Absolutely.
Totally agree with you, LBrent, except for the Mani part. Of course she's going to mention Mani. She basically seems to blame Mani and the Larry Graham for the end of the marriage. As soon as she saw Mani with a diamond incrusted symbol she knew she was on her way out and when she waited for him in Spain she knew for sure. |

No she did not move on and I hate that she keeps saying he never got over it. How does she know this because he got remarried and threw himself back into his carreer. He seemed to get over her really well.
She should speak for herself and tell her thoughts and stop trying to speak for him.
I believe she said Prince did not move on from his son's death, not from his relationship with her. |

No, I realize that.
I meant that if I were Mayte I wouldn't bring up Manuela during interveiws. |

Really because we did see any of this stuff in the papers until she opened her mouth. |
